Or was that George Orwell?
And what if the man has already been murdered? What then? Will the fat fuck be indicted for causing his death? Oh, no wait. I forgot. Diaper Don is a fat rich white asshole. Laws are always aimed downward, not upward. Ironically, the guillotine also works downward.
the Trump administration… admitted that it had wrongly removed Abrego Garcia but claimed that courts could not order it to correct the mistake.
Evidently, when it comes to the presidency, right and wrong are irrelevant. Everything the president does is legal, including crimes against humanity.
Delay, delay, delay -everyday this man is wrongfully held in the torture prison in El Salvador is a day without justice.
Microsoft Word - Abrego Garcia - District Court Extension Motion (002)
You don’t seem to know the difference between nihilism and realism. And as usual, have trouble being pleasant.
Very weak tea. I hope that the District Court judge will find a way to interpret the court’s words in a way that will make it very hard for Trump and his maladministration to avoid bringing the poor man home. It is really astounding how inhumane those people are, when it would have been a simple matter to have him sent back here.
They’re not going to bring him home, and SCOTUS is not going to make them.
DOJ: We asked Bukele really nicely, and he said no. There’s nothing we can do.
Xinis: Sanctions.
DOJ: Appeal.
SCOTUS: They asked nicely. There’s nothing more they can do. Sanctions go bye-bye.
ETA: The weak point here might actually be a civil lawsuit against everyone involved in the “administrative error” deportation. There is a high likelihood that they’ll find it less painful to just bring the guy home than to subject themselves to discovery.
Were such a lawsuit to take shape I would happily donate to a fund meant to support it. Maybe others would, as well.
I’d take it on contingency fee. I’m sure many others would too.
And the wife definitely has standing and reason to sue…their son is autistic so losing the father is a huge harm to the family. Finding who to sue might be an issue, since a court may limit it to just the people who did the actual deportation, though as they continue to drag their feet that list may grow into people blocking the return. I wonder about documents though, at least some of this seems to be happening off the record and on the fly…we can hope an actual government servant who understands their duty was in the mix somewhere and can testify to what happened behind the scenes. I would not at all be surprised if the “mistake” was nothing of the sort, which would blow up the entire case and several lawyer’s careers for lying in court.
It’s such a simple matter to bring the guy back, unless El Salvador has already killed him and the administration knows this and is just trying to delay things to keep that news from coming out.
Maybe off topic, but I saw a headline about a woman immigration atty, in MA, born and raised in the USA, got a letter telling her to self-deport.
Reminds me that any time lists get compiled, people who don’t belong on the list get appear there.
