Four justices of the Supreme Court apparently do not think that federal immigration law impliedly preempts state enforcement of immigration law.
Just because Congress has legislated in an area does not automatically mean that the states are prohibited from acting in that same area.
This dispute does not really involve the Supremacy Clause.

It’s hard to understand why there’s even a federal issue here and more disturbing that 4 justices wanted to green light a civil war between the state and federal gov’t and impose articles of confederation like standards here.
Fed gov’t is supreme in foreign affairs and the int’l border is in the purview of the Federal gov’t. The courts want to set up a shooting match between federal and state law enforcement. Such an incident may happen sooner rather than later.

Yes. The way Abbott and his AG treat the citizens of TX boils me up from time to time. So much disdain for the very people who voted him into office. And of course the great TX Freeze. Abbott seemed frustrated, why so many Texans were complaining.
It’s like listening to dumbasses, in their most serious attempts, explaining why they’re voting for Trump.
The only good news coming out of TX is that the Cowboys got humiliated.

Huh? First of all, the Posse Comitatus Act prevents Biden from using the US military in that manner. Second, how do we prevent it from going to the federal courts? Whether Biden was the one to file suit or took all sorts of retaliatory action or not, it was going to end up in the federal courts…and at that point are you saying we should just ignore the courts while claiming to be a country of laws? TX’s behavior is clearly nonsense…and I would argue it was armed insurrection the second Abbott activated his good-ole-boys Nat’l Guard to take up arms against the federal government, but at the end of the day, Biden is getting blamed for anything that happens that results in violence and he’s already walking a tightrope with their nonsense projection that it’s really him who is the dictator tyrant, because he’s trying to force them all to be nice to the gays and black people. All it would take would be one fucking gun firing one fucking bullet because one fucking fucktard in the Nat’l Guard or US Military got antsy and that would be the end of it…Biden would have zero chance of re-election and we’d almost be guaranteed to watch Trump become POTUS in November. That what you want? Big dick swagger that ultimately results in our complete fucking impotence?
I’ve mentioned it over and over and over, but not once have I suggested it’s us who should start it. It’s THEIR violence that is incoming and inevitable (and TX’s behavior is just more proof that they’re dipping their toesies in that water). I disagree. Tethering the lies to facts and reality in some fashion makes it far more effective. Sure, the KKKult is at the point that they will swallow virtually any load of fabrications as orthodoxy at this point, but when it comes to propaganda, it’s always been the lying that uses and abuses facts, not the lying that eschews them, that is most effective.
