Scott Swipes At ‘Careerists In Washington’ After McConnell Bashes His Rogue Tax Plan

As GOP Senate leadership scrambles to put out the fires sparked by National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) chair Rick Scott’s (R-FL) tax proposal, Scott himself is out here gargling more lighter fluid.

Double-down people have a certain kind of obnoxiousness.

Skeletor is obnoxious (mainly because of what he has done) but not the kind he thinks he has.

Scott is a danger to himself if he willingly gargles lighter fluid and reaches for that third rail of politics. But somehow, I just cannot muster the strength to warn him.

Rick Scott is an evil criminal. Having said that, he’s also full of shit. "He insisted that his tax plan was “common sense” because it would require “free-loaders” to “pay a small amount so we’re all in this together.” Yeah, right; all your rich friends will continue to “pay a small amount” and the middle and lower classes will get screwed. Thanks again, voters of Florida; you have inflicted three great wounds on the body politic; Scott, Rubio and DeathSentence. Heckuva job!

If we don’t make sure that the serfs have skin in the game, we’re just a speedbump away from communism.

I love this. Republicans consistently stonewall increasing enforcement capacity at the IRS so that it can go after delinquent wealthy taxpayers to raise revenue for needed infrastructure and other worthy projects. Then they turn around and insist on making the poor pay.

So let’s see a campaign ad highlighting Trump’s gaming the system to pay no federal taxes for years in contrast to the pain that will be inflicted by Scott’s cruel plan. That can done against a background of potholes and bridge collapses.

Bring it on, Rick. Please bring it on.

“If we have no bigger plan than to be a speed bump on the road to socialism, we don’t deserve to govern,” Scott wrote.

Well, that’s clearly true. Pure obstructionists don’t deserve to govern … in fact, all they do is prevent actual governance. But Mitch McConnell, evil but smart, very smart, is justifiably opposed to Skeletor Scott’s proposal. It’s saying the quiet parts out loud! What kind of idiot thinks that’s a good idea?

It is likely that, like the nature of federal tax givers versus takers by state, the percentage of “freeloaders” in red states is greater than that in blue states. That’s both a tough sell and a nasty slap at MTG’s constituents.

Please proceed, Senator Skeletor.

And what better way to co-opt them than to tax them heavily? That’s the ticket!

Scott is a true believer in fascism while McConnell is a nihilist who only cares about power. Let’s stoke the flames of this battle. There is no honor among thieves.

That includes Corporations and Real Estate investors, correct?

Or just the worker bees and retired, not the “job creators.”?

“There will be many more attacks on me and this plan from careerists in Washington, who personally profit while ruining this country. Bring it on,” he wrote.

Am I to understand that Rick Scott is not a “careerist politician”? Is he not pursuing a career in politics?? What am I missing here? Is he being a politician for free?? I would call a base pay of $174,000/yr a rather hefty profit to begin with. I never made anywhere close to that annual wage for doing as little work as they do.
edit

These clowns take entire months off each year (August). Some times 6 weeks at a stretch. And even then they’re in session to pass bills 3 days a week. And the Senate is designed to not function at all with its 60 vote filibuster before they can even discuss legislation let alone vote on it.
Why fucking bother?

It seems to be an axiom among professional fascistgoopers that the biggest damned hyprocrite wins the support of their incurious base,.
