Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) wants there to be a plan to protect the whistleblower at the center of the House impeachment inquiry in case President Donald Trump exposes him or her.
They should make Trump taste all the whistleblowerâs food. Thatâs one way to get Donnie to eat his vegetables.

So now we all expect Trump to deliberately put someoneâs life in danger and break the law. The goddamn president. At least Cheney/Libby attempted to hide it. So f-ing depressing. (Iâm trying to cut down on my swearing; only one word this posting)

Schumer (D-NY) sent Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire and Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson a letter on Monday pushing them to prepare
Good, and extra credit for immediately making the letter public.
Not much else he can do in the Senate, of course, without Republican backing.
This is a good move by Schumer.
The Democratic leader also noted that other whistleblowers may come forward, requiring further security measures against retaliation from Trump

It is so tragic that Schumer felt compelled to do this. Our country is being destroyed every day that Trump and his Republican henchmen are in power. If youâd have told me 5 years ago that this would be our topic du jour, I would have disbelieved it. It makes me so sad that people must risk their lives to tell the truth.
