The scene of “troops dressed for combat” at the Lincoln Memorial — the famed point of departure for the civil rights movement that saw the March on Washington — mimicked images of Tiananmen Square, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said on the Senate floor Wednesday.
The Lincoln Memorial photograph took my breath away. The “Tiananmen Square” comment has merit. And that is heartbreaking.
“What is President Trump doing to this grand democracy?” Schumer asked.
Whatever the fuck he wants. MAGA, baby.
Lets keep this picture in mind next time the parasites come to congress requesting even more money to “protect our freedoms”.

Friend of mine is a PBA president. He has mentioned that police dress for the outcome they desire. Reduce tensions use regular uniform, inflame dress like
SWAT. He also has stated that for most police agencies if they get SWAT type gear there is an awful lot of pressure from politicians to use the gear. Must be used to justify the purchase.
They can’t not follow orders, and they were just props in the Trump show. He’s the culprit here, along with the commanding officers to some extent, but first and foremeost it’s Trump. Not the guardsmen.
My brother texted me that photo — I had just come in from working all afternoon in the garden and at first I thought it must be a fake.
I never dreamed I’d be seeing something like this on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial or anywhere else for that matter.
The Goopers have lost their collective minds and are all certifiable.
And, of course, you can well imagine what this all looked like on the evening news here in Germany. MAGA, my wrinkled white patootie. It’ll take a generation of hard work to scrabble back the standing we had prior to 2016.

Who ran and got elected as a democrat with the support of the black vote, however he will be in the dustbin of history come Nov.
A couple differences. 1) None of the Chinese troops in Tiananmen Square were employees of Eric Prince’s for-rent Praetorian Guard. 2) China was looking at an impending economic boom that it would protect at any cost. Here, we must now select what parts of the economy, what jobs, are essential and which ones are not. Congress and the current government have no such impending boom to protect. It’s more about who gets a seat in the lifeboat.
I’m sick of that kind of Southerner. Justice is a piece of shit and his state is welcome to this super spreader event. Knock yourselves out West Virginia. Those black lungs are nice and ripe for exactly what this convention will bring you.
The anniversary of Tiananmen Square is this week. Trump is actually one of the few Americans, short of a few Maoists who praised the Chinese government’s actions.
Wouldn’t much of the RNC be expecting indoor plumbing?
