Both of New York’s U.S. senators called for Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) resignation on Friday,

If they have evidence we are not aware of…fine. Otherwise, I want to see an impeachment trial where he can mount a defense and present evidence …if he has any.

Not their call.

Perhaps not but it makes the lack of support in high places pretty complete. He’s hanging over the abyss without any safety net.

Wow, has Gillibrand been in a coma? Cuomo appears far worse than anything Franken did, why did she delay in piling on?

Once burned (and rightly so) twice shy?

Cuomo isn’t backing down. It isn’t in his blood. My worry is that he and the Dems will drag this out too long. There will be media from all sides and angles focused on the fight. All along the Tepubs will be gaining ground and that’s the last thing NY state and indeed the rest of America needs. Fir one thing it lays open the possibility of Investigations into Rump and his organization being halted.

If Cuomo goes, who replaces him? I’m not sure there is a strong candidate.

Maybe she wanted to jump on afterwards to look less aggressive this time.

I don’t see how the two things are connected.
It’s not as if there is only one set of prosecutors at work.

That must be. The damage she caused taking out a sitting US Senator still pales to taking out a lecherous Governor, and should be on her conscience til she passes.

She was asked earlier, but she’s just now talking about this.

If Cuomo wants the process to continue, then the process should continue, and everybody in the media, butt out.

Especially Roger Stone.

For the sake of the Democratic Party, I hope Cuomo stays in and forces due process to take place. It’s not about Cuomo, but Dems need an enforceable standard to use for scandal or #metoo situations. On Twitter, they’re explaining away the Northam/Faifax situation as different b/c he’s a nice guy and Cuomo is an a**hole. That’s way too arbitrary a standard. The reason Northam didn’t resign is because Fairfax was credibly accused of rape (something Cuomo has not been accused of). Fairfax will complete his term as the LG btw. I’d really like to know if Cuomo behaved like Eric Greitens or is he just an older, NYer from an era where men are handsy and talk inappropriately with a dash of creepiness and is kind of a prick. I don’t think the latter is a basis for removal from office. Big difference between inappropriate talk and sexual assault.

Lots of Italian men are smooth operators. Andrew got no game.

I didn’t know Gillibrand was eyeing the governor’s mansion.

Not to make light of the stuff with Andrew but can we get Chris Cuomo to resign while we’re at it?
I’m tired of looking at his sanctimonious face when I look at CNN.

I just did some searching on Hochul. Found a 3.5 minute clip of her talking to a female correspondent about sexual harassment in the workplace. After listening to it, I’d like to hear what she has to say about Cuomo. Link to podcast:
