Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) detailed which documents he’d like to see the administration produce for the upcoming Senate impeachment trial in a Monday letter to his fellow senators, and pointed specifically to the recent release of redacted Ukraine-related emails from the Office of Management and Budget.
This request seems much too reasonable and much too likely to produce, you know … evidence for a trial.
Keep hammering on this Senator Schumer.

OT. I ran across this one, wonder how Trump voters feel about it… on one hand they are cutting taxes and sticking it to the “Democrat” teachers unions but on the other they promoting immigration.

one tidbit that Schumer needs to mention next time – among the people who testified in the Clinton was trial was White House senior advisor Sidney Blumenthal – that should be emphasized, because it sets the precedent not just for witnesses per se, but for senior staffers like Duffey, Mulvaney, Bolton, etc. to testify.
and BTW, when will someone ask McConnell about documents – he talks about witnesses all the time, but will be allow the Dems to subpoena document?
They’re behaving like wounded animals, cornered by impeachment. Time to bring out the tranquilizing darts and get on with the inevitable.
There’s always the “win” option for him… Lean on a certain person to resign and never have to hold a trial…

I think Pelosi and Schumer have this all scripted out. He’s making very reasonable asks, merely wanting a fair trial. This puts McConnell on the spot with the American people, who want a real trial to occur. At the same time, it allows for Pelosi to fade away from the spotlight, while still holding the reins on this whole thing.
And let’s not forget February 4 -the date she gave Trump for the SOTU speech. No doubt Pelosi did that for a reason.

Nunes isn’t the only member of Congress who can be implicated in the whole Ukraine deal if investigations don’t get stopped short…
There is no reason that just one person should have the capability to declare a national emergency, as when trump used every justification against the Dreamers, the Wall, the incarcerated immigrants, etal. trump is a national security risk and there need to be the peoples’ representatives who can make the call.
February 3 is just confusing. It’s on February 4 that one begins to suspect it’s still Groundhog Day.

Rep. Schiff has said plenty; any more and the rethugs will campaign that the impeachment is all his. Time for Schumer to step up, forcefully.
