Sorry to be unkind here, but the only probe I’m interested in is one going up Roger Stone’s a$$ in prison

Most important question: Is Susan Collins “concerned” or “disturbed” by this?

Congress need to investigate Barr for his involvement in Ukrainegate, abuse of power, violation of public trust in Mueller Report and other corruption acts like traveling to manufacture evidence against the Biden’s at tax payer’s dime!

This plus the sudden resignation of 2 prosecutors is truly horrific. But, what is even more horrific is Barr’s gutting of the DOJ in a way that is so overtly partisan and corrupt. There are no rules, ethics, honor, integrity remaining in the DOJ after these 2 attorneys leave. How can we possibly delude ourselves into calling our current government a Democracy? How can we possibly recover the rule of law after this administration? Congress has completely lost it’s authority for oversight, or, more to the point, Republicans gave it away when they rubber-stamped every unqualified Trump crony whose only fitness for the position was measured by loyalty to Trump. Every day only gets worse. I don’t know what will be left by January 2021.

Acquitting him is a foregone conclusion. He wins.

The judge needs to put all of the remaining prosecutors under oath and question them about political interference. She has the authority to do it, and it is something that Judge Jackson just might do.

Preventing political interference in the justice system is the responsibility of the Courts, not just congress.

I eagerly await for when Barr is kicked out and has a mountain of subpoenas to answer to

Probe? DOJ needs a radical colostomy to get rid of all the cancerous polyps. STAT!

3rd one just left.

Let’s see what the House does, I suspect they will shortly start calling witnesses and documents to understand what happened, and demand Barr testify. Barr can’t ignore the House forever, he has to go in front of them for various reasons (including the budget), so eventually he will be asked questions. And, if he lies, then the next Congress will likely learn the truth (especially if Trump loses) and get to take him to court for perjury.

This is really just like back in July, Trump gets clear of the Mueller investigation and immediately starts up on the next thing. You can tell he really feels unbound, he’s openly doing bad things now, things that corrupt the system…soon he’ll start the investigations of the Democratic campaigns for Senate and president, and whatever else he can to muck up the works.

Trump will lose. These are the last thrashings of an oligarchic Mob family whose head is about to be cut off.

The Trump exhaustion factor will be key in November. The past 3 years he has been President feels like 12. The public usually has had enough of their Presidents at year 6. Can anyone imagine another 4 years of this crap? 60% of Americans don’t have $400 for an emergency. This clown will keep saying this is the best economy in the history of the country but in 2016 he said the real unemployment rate is 40%.

The stock market will not save Trump.

The justice department knows that the courts won’t likely let this pass, but it puts them in a position to justify the pardon that we all know is coming…

I believe this act will create a firestorm of backlash against the Evil Empire. Their arrogance and hubris will be the death of them yet. Hopefully literally.

Those in the DoJ not corrupted by barr and trump need to call an immediate strike and WALK THE HELL OUT!

Of course you’re right, and it’s disconcerting that what began as a political and serious blog site with serious commentators has now become the place to try out stand up acts. Dragging Collins in on any lame excuse is SOP lately, but I’m grateful there’s been no talk about Schumer and condemning what he’s as opposed to the silence coming from President McConnell’s office.
