House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who also serves on the House Jan. 6 Select Committee, made it clear on Tuesday that ex-White House senior adviser Steve Bannon is facing a whole new ball game as he attempts to defy the select committee’s subpoenas.

Just piling on here, but I don’t want to hear any more from the 1/6 committee about how they’re such bad-asses and anyone defying a subpoena will regret it.

Nah, he’s just refusing now because Trump gave him some temporary cover with the privilege claim. He’s not in any real jeopardy unless he continues to refuse after that’s shot down in court.
At some point I expect Bannon to send a letter to the committee saying he’ll show up and plead the 5th to every question, so do they really want to continue? Then the committee will either drop it, or go ahead with the clown show. They’re not going to get any answers either way, and Bannon can avoid a Contempt of Congress charge by pleading the 5th.
