Scarborough: Russians ‘Celebrating’ That GOP Are ‘Useful Idiots’

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough pilloried his former party Thursday morning, saying that Russians are “celebrating” that Republicans are “useful idiots” in their scheme to undermine American democracy.

Idiots? Definitely…

Useful? Only to other idiots…

They are idiots.

How USEFUL they are depends on how (and whether) we Get Cracking after Mueller handed us the Ball:

Impeachment Inquiry.

I look at Scarborough and I hear my folks saying,

“Even a broken clock is right twice a day” and “Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.”

Yes, native Texans.

And McConnell will still not let legislation to protect our elections come to a vote in the Senate.

Useful, but not an idiot. He knows exactly what he’s doing.

Why and How McConnell has escaped rigorous scrutiny for his Evil will be seen as one of the Wonders Of The Early Twenty-First Century.

I am beginning to think that this transcends Russia, America, and the rest of the world as nation-states, and it is more an international conspiracy of oligarchs to control the world.

As always, follow the money.

I think he’s as corrupt as the Orange Asshole but smarter.

McConnell recognizes that Republicans probably need Russian assistance to eke out a few more electoral victories before demographic changes become impossible to overcome.

Only the stupid ones are “Useful Idiots” (the Louie Gohmerts and Marco Rubios, and Rand Pauls)

It’s the smart ones (McConnell, Graham, Lee, Cotton, McCarthy, Nunes, etc.) that are the actual treasonous criminals, knowing full well what they are doing and WHY (to cover their own asses and make sure their treasonous acceptance of Russian Money and assistance never comes to light.)

The Russians have been paying off Republicans for 20 years, starting in the late 90’s. This is just the closest anyone has gotten to uncovering it all.

I’m clearly not a fan of Scarborough, but I appreciate any Republican leaning person who can call out yesterday’s travesty by the Republican Party.

Amy McGrath should pillory McConnell on this issue in the Senate race: Why doesn’t he want to protect our elections from foreign interference? Start now and don’t let up.

He seems like a middling sort of person on his best day, kind of a superficial guy, but he seems to have genuinely deprogrammed himself, and is one of the rare nationally known politicians for whom the GOP just got too crazy. You really could about count them on one hand. So there’s that?

That second tweet seems sincere…although IIRC, Jesus is all about that forgiveness whatnot…maybe Joe should apologize for his former republicanism to, oh I dunno…

His fellow countrymen and women? Those kids in cages at the border? The entire freakin’ human race? Whales and bees? I would also include denizens of the entire mulitverse but the damage caused by the GOP so far been seems to be limited to this planetary system.

Scarborough regularly castigates the GOP as a party and does the same for the individual members of that party.

He left the Republican party and gives them no benefit of the doubt.
He’s still a conservative (in the more classic American sense of the term) but he doesn’t support the GOP at all.

I watched Joe this morning. He is pissed. He’s more than pissed. He’s horrified at what has happened to the Republican party.

ETA:
Not only does Joe want impeachment inquires to begin, he also hopes that the Democratic nominee (whoever that will be) absolutely slaughters Trump

The only R that was not a national embarrassment was Hurd wha asked meaningful and important questions about Russian involvement in our electoral process.

I know, and it’s to his credit. It’s just that I don’t find him very interesting and when I think about him at all I immediately start thinking about how Mika’s pretty hot and that’s the end of my thinking about him so much.

I actually really like their morning show. They have great guests.

He’s got a LOT to make up for. I remember him being a Trump supporter early on - making him a frequent guest. They helped build his credibility.

I appreciate his push back - yeah. But the memory hole isn’t deep enough.

Early in the Republican presidential primary, Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski declared Trump a real contender for the GOP nomination — a view that endeared them to the real estate mogul, who was a frequent guest on their show. Though the co-hosts sought to draw a distinction between boosting Trump and merely taking him seriously, some fellow media professionals complained that Scarborough and Brzezinski seemed too cozy with the candidate.

Trump at one point thanked them for being “supporters,” though he quickly changed the label to “believers.”

Scarborough’s rapport with Trump soured in dramatic fashion last February after Trump declined to disavow the endorsement of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke in an interview on CNN.
