In this corner, Scalise and McCarthy and Graham!

In that corner, Cheney and McConnell!

Let the festivities begin!

EVERYONE always knew Scalise was the scum of the Earth but he got a pass when he got shot. Never forget what he is. Ever. Rotten-to-the-core.

I’d like to hear a panel discussion with Scalise and Graham discussing the question of which tastes better: Trump’s boots, or his ass.

Unless you continue to refer to President Obama and President Clinton, you don’t get to call Trump ‘President’ anymore.

Like McCarthy, Scalise elevates fealty to the disgraced twice impeached defeated one term seditionist Trump over country.

Hey Steve.

You’re not kissing a ring, you’re kissing an ass.

All of them are referred to as “former President X.”
All of them are addressed directly as “Mr. X.”

Article I. section 9, clause 8:

" No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States:"

The honorific title of nobility “Mr. President” or just “President” remains with the office and is granted temporarily to the person holding that office.

It is not granted for life.

I had the same thought: Coming to implore Il Padrone on the day of his daughter’s wedding. Bonasera, Bonasera, what have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully?

Interesting. Has anyone told New York’s ‘Mayor Eternal’, Rudy Giuliani that?

The people who need to be told first are all in the media, and they routinely address former office holders by the title of office reserved for the current office holder.

It’s misplaced “respect” and it gives a false gravitas to people who don’t, as a rule, know what the word “gravitas” means.

There’s a factor here at work that I don’t understand. It isn’t just that these GOP clowns want his approval or his base, there is something more at work here. Why make such public efforts to kiss up to some loser?
