Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) blasted on Thursday President Donald Trump’s approving response to the unhinged “QAnon” conspiracy theory that alleges that Trump is on a secret mission to expose a mass child sex trafficking ring among Democrats, “deep state” actors in the government, and other high-power elites.
Not just “nuts”…
It’s alarming that Trump does NOT know if those conspiracies are good or bad!
It’s really really BAD Ben Sasse!
When asked about Q-Anon…
“At the crux of this theory is the belief that you are secretly saving the world from this satanic cult of pedophiles and cannibals. Does that sound like something you are behind?”
Trump:
“Well, I haven’t heard that,” Trump said. “Is that supposed to be a bad thing or a good thing? You know, if I can help save the world from problems, I’m willing to do it — I’m willing to put my self out there. And we are, actually. We’re saving the world from a radical left philosophy that will destroy this country. And when this country is gone the rest of the world would follow.”
Fuck you, Bennie. You’re smarter than Trump and saner than Trump and you’d make a marginally better president. But you’re both splitting the difference for political gain. You’re both hypocrites. Sit the fuck down.
Sounds like Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) believes Trump is going to lose and lose big so he is repositioning himself to help pick up the pieces. The first step in that repositioning is to be on record opposing Trump before the election. Let’s see if more join Sen. Sasse.
Of course he is. Many are, depending on how purple their states are and how they view their chances as presidential candidates. The ones for whom it was to any degree genuine are long gone. Took me a moment, the other day, to remember Jeff Flake’s name.
The president is a puppet of Putin, you knew and did nothing, and now you have your knickers in a twist because he believes in Bigfoot? His abject stupidity is suddenly a problem? You had your chance and wanted to keep your nice position in an exclusive club. Fuck off.
LOL. I did a very similar thing a couple days ago, was all “How could you say such a thing” and was shown I’d totally misread the comment and recontextualized it. I decided “Bennie” was more demeaning, is why I said that.
