Santos Finally Admits He’s Been ‘A Terrible Liar’

After a bit of prodding from none other than right-wing TV host Piers Morgan, Rep. George Santos (R-NY) admitted to being “a terrible liar” in a Monday interview. In the roughly 40-minute discussion Morgan pressed the New York congressman on the plethora of lies he has told over the past couple of years, which came to light just after he was elected to Congress.

George Kitara Anthony Dee Zabrovsky Devolder Santos Ravanche is not a “terrible liar”… he’s quite good at lying as evinced by his election to Congress, ability to steal monies meant for a dying dog, etc.

So, while he tells “terrible lies”, he’s not a terrible liar.

Lying comes so naturally for him that actually telling the truth is a heavy lift.

Santos Finally Admits He’s Been ‘A Terrible Liar’

…but he hopes to become better with practice.

Great! Now he can show he means it by resigning.

Two idiots talking; giving credence to each other. What a joke!

Sure, Mr Devolder admits he’s a “terrible liar.” That’s because he got caught at it. That’s all.

“I’ve been a terrible liar” is a hell of a slogan for a reelection campaign. Has he tested this with focus groups?

“Throughout the lengthy interview, Morgan pressed Santos on almost every lie…”

“The interview ended with Santos admitting that he’s never even set foot in New York; that his real name is ‘Seamus McCork’; and that he’s not actually a 34-year-old man, but rather 58 weasels in a trenchcoat.”

“on the plethora of lies he has told”

plethora?

"A very stupid decision that I regret everyday.”

Just another lie.

The language:

“Sure, like I said
“Well, I’ve been a terrible liar on those subjects,”
"I’ve made peace with the fact that I made a bad choice in making that decision. It wasn’t easy.”

The new Santos is exactly the old Santos, lying about lying. “It wasn’t easy” hahahaha.

He doesn’t, and he’s not.

He’s been terrible AND a liar

I would drop the word “liar” as it seems a bit redundant.

Santos has been and is “terrible”.

Didn’t watch the segment, but a logical follow-up to all of this would have been: “So given that by your own admission, you’ve made up most of the salient aspects of your life story, education, and work history why do you still deserve to serve in the US Congress? Why shouldn’t you resign?”

Did Morgan even ask that? It looks like Santos’s position is basically “Yeah, I lied about everything, but I don’t see how that should affect my serving out my term…”

“I’ve admitted to it. I’ve made peace with the fact that I made a bad choice in making that decision. It wasn’t easy,” he added.

Wow, he’s the hero we need in this dark time. Someone who will make the tough decisions!

Shorter Santos: “I’ve moved on from this, you should too”. Hey, when there is literally no defense, I guess that’s all that remains.

Like I said before who is working for Santos? They now know that he lied about everything, so why are they still working for him?

Nothing on the campaign finance crimes, I see.

He can’t talk about them until he has a treasurer. Might get audited, you know.

Of course I fault Santos for his past misdeeds and for not resigning now, but only to the extent I can fault a scorpion for stinging. This is just who and what he is, sad to say.

The more outrageous fault lies with Speaker McCarthy, who allows this nonsense to continue.
