The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday evening declaring the National Rifle Association a “domestic terrorist organization” that “spreads propaganda” and has “armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism,” according to the resolution.

How long until there’s another assassination attempt in the SF City Hall? This could prompt some knucklehead to do the (not so) unthinkable (anymore).

Now, will anyone else follow suit? It’ll depend a whole lot on how this is received nationally, but I can see other blue States (NY, possibly?) doing it.

As California goes, so goes (most of) the nation…

“I don’t give um hell, I just tell the truth on them and they think it is hell,” Harry Truman on Republicans.

Calling them out and shaming them, for being terrorists and racists, I mean the pro-gun movement is largely a “White Power” movement, can do no worse than trying not to hurt NRA members feelings.

Or to put another way, as all else has failed, we have nothing to lose by telling the truth on them.

I consider myself pretty danged liberal AND I live in the SF Bay Area, but this is just misguided. All the points noted in the article are true, but that does not make the NRA itself a terrorist organization and threatens to cheapen the “designation.” Do they give aid and comfort to terrorists, yeah they do. But they can be condemned without the “label.”

You got a problem with this?

If some foreign entity produced overly dramatic videos like the ones starring fear monger Dana Loush it would be a cause for concern by law enforcement.

Quoting Meghan McCain, I see.

Catherine Stefani is my hero.

Imagine if people were not allowed to fly simply because they’re members of the NRA? I doubt that would ever happen, but it hilarious to think about.

“All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence.”

Perfectly stated, and good for them.

I was born in California. I just wanted to say that.

This news about the NRA does make me smile, and it’s not very often that i read anything involving the NRA that makes me feel good.

Now, every member of the NRA is also a member of a domestic terror organization, according to the leaders of San Francisco.
