Samsung has sold a collective 100 million units around the globe of its Galaxy S smartphone series, which launched in May 2010 and is on its third major iteration, the Samsung Galaxy S III (that unit alone has sold 40 million devices in its first 7 months of availability), Mashable reported Monday. Samsung originally made the announcement with a photo posted to its Flickr page last Thursday.
