Russia-backed news outlet RT America reportedly ceased productions and laid off most of its staff, according to a memo from T&R Productions, the production company behind the Russian state-funded network, obtained by CNN on Thursday.
“In a memo to staff, Misha Solodovnikov, the general manager of T&R Productions, reportedly said that the Russia-backed outlet will be “ceasing production” at all of its locations “as a result of unforeseen business interruption events.””

Just another unforeseen consequence for Putin regarding his horrid decision to invade Ukraine. One of his primary goals all along was to weaken his arch-nemesis, America, and he had, to be frank, not a small amount of success in fomenting division and chaos here. But without RT, his bots, and Trump’s utter incompetence in getting a platform in place, he’s, for all practical purposes, shot himself in the mouth. Good riddance to that rubbish.

It’s pretty rich for Russia to play the innocent victim. What’s Putin been up to over the past decade, and perhaps longer, if not sow division across America and Western Europe?
He interfered in our elections in 2016, helping Trump win the election; played a major role in Brexit, thus dividing Britain from continental Europe, and interfered in so many other elections such as in France, and I believe Italy. He also played a major role in elevating white nationalism in the west. Pretty rich for them to now play the victim card. I hope we go even further with sanctions.
