Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Wednesday urged his Republican colleagues to comply with mask-wearing requirements as spikes in COVID-19 cases emerge in several states.
Marco is frustrated because for some incomprehensible reason people seem reluctant to take simple protective measures that would slow the spread of the virus. Why, oh why wonât people do the sensible thing, Marco? Itâs a puzzle, isnât it, you toadying fuck?
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Wednesday urged his Republican colleagues to comply with mask-wearing requirements as spikes in COVID-19 cases emerge in several states. âEveryone should just wear a damn mask, like you guys are, like I am right now,â Rubio said
I know Iâm being redundant here, and yes, I recognize this is a good thing, but considering everything thatâs occurred since Jan 2017, he still deserves a kick in the ass along with every other Republican in DC.
Although I am NOT A FAN of the damn Never-Trumpers, this is quite a statement by Steve Schmidt. And for the live of me, WHY DO THESE GUYS get their names and statements in the media all the time?
Steve Schmidt, lifelong Republican who worked on McCainâs campaign, had this to say about Trump:
âDonald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And I donât say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is also a consequential president. And he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day Barack Obama left office. And there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.â
âWhen you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. I donât use these words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words in the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. Weâve never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.â
âItâs astonishing that this man is President. The con man from New York City, many bankruptcies, failed businesses, significant debt, and the reality show that branded him as something he never was, a successful businessman. Heâs President of the United States now, who said he would Make America Great Again.â
âBut heâs brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on a truly epic scale. Letâs be clear: This isnât happening around the world. Itâs happening here, in our country, our place, our home. We are the epicenter. We are the place youâre most likely to die from this disease. Weâre the ones with the shattered economy. And we are here because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk.â
I know, right? Iâd gotten out of the habit of thinking it would make a difference to any of them if deviating from Dear Leader worship might actually save a life here and there.
You got me laughing with that visualization and all that it implies, but we must somehow avoid suggestions involving more serious actions and the long-term consequences. This is why I like the idea of long lines of people waiting their turn to literally kick some Republican ass.
