Roy’s Conservative Voting Record Is Missing One Key Ingredient In Challenge To Stefanik For Conference Chair | Talking Points Memo

The Goober party is not about governing as we know it. It is a cult of personality with access to the levers of power and that makes them exceedingly dangerous to our functioning as a democracy. All of the folks who kiss the ring of trump should be voted out base on what I just said. I am not against a two party system, just the nut cases.

She was just voted in to replace Cheney. Bye, Chip.

(NYT)

House Republicans on Friday elected Representative Elise Stefanik of New York, a vocal defender of Donald J. Trump, as their No. 3 leader, moving swiftly to replace Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who was deposed this week for her refusal to stay silent about the former president’s election lies.

Another thing that the graphic overlooked: many of those issues involved conservative bona fides and had little or nothing to do with the actual platform of supporting the former guy, regardless of the issue.

Stefanik has no principles. Roy may be does. Depending in whether that vote was because he was in touch with reality or just to please his district.

He’s not enough of a nut?

This will give you some tiny conception of how creepy and nuts the average GOP House member has become:

Voice vote or recorded?

Yes, with few of them really onboard except for their own selfish reasons, like this twit, or abject cowardice.

What a disgusting bunch of anti-American assholes.

Secret ballot this time, according to the NYT.

The secret-ballot vote, which unfolded in a basement auditorium at the Capitol, was the culmination of a campaign by Republicans to purge a vocal critic of Mr. Trump from their ranks.

Sooner or later every GOP stooge will look over their shoulder and notice the knife in their back with Trump’s bloody fingerprints all over it…

Elevator pitch:

Grendel routinely eats people, but there is no Beowulf to be found.

I think it is more, “how dare you try to ignore me, I’ve already selected the replacement.”

Or more accurate to the modern GOP:

Beowulf is the monster for trying to interfere with Grendel’s God-given right to eat people.

However, until that moment - every GOP stooge imagines themselves becoming one of the exalted wealthy oligarchs … sitting at the head table with the emperor and getting to grind their heels on the masses.
