Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) might be flip –flopping all over the place as he courts mainstream and far-right Republican voters in his desperate bid for reelection, but there’s at least one position that’s remained consistent for the Wisconsin senator: The Jan. 6 Capitol attack was NBD because the insurrectionists weren’t armed when they stormed the building.

“Now, some of the protesters did teach us all how you can use flagpoles, that kind of stuff, as weapons,” the GOP senator quipped.
“Thank you very much. I’ll be here all term.” RonJon is a regular laugh riot.

Very disrespectable to those who defended the Capitol on 6 January 2021.
And to those hiding from being wounded or killed.

I’m sincerely hoping this gets the maximum airplay.
I want to know the individuals in my State that think this is a great discovery.

Who the fuck established that? “Armed” is a pretty common reference to someone carrying anything that can be used as a lethal weapon. There are plenty of stories about people armed with knives, machetes, tire irons, baseball bats, you name it. How did flagpoles used for beatings magically un-become something an insurrectionist could be armed with?

He left out fire extinguishers and metal barriers.

I’m shocked that Ron Johnsonwax isn’t saying that it was Antifa and BLM that did the 1/6 attack.

This toxic asshole Ron Johnson reminds us again that violence is now an integral part of Republican ideology.
Political violence is now part of conservative/Republican ideology, from the grassroots, to the intellectual elites, to the elected politicians.
