Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Wednesday railed against a bill for a bipartisan commission intended to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, suggesting he was at work on his own investigation into the events which he claimed had involved peaceful protests and a few “agitators.”
“The fact of the matter is even calling it insurrection — it wasn’t,” Johnson insisted again on Wednesday. “I condemned the breach, I condemn the violence, but to say there were thousands of armed insurrectionists breaching the Capitol intent on overthrowing the government is just simply a false narrative.”
So now we have to parse “armed”? Yes most of the protesters had two arms.
“I’m doing my own investigation to really accurately recreate what happened on January 6th but Nancy Pelosi’s commission is not going to dig into this in any bipartisan fashion,” Johnson said during a Fox News interview. “She gets to pick all of the staff members. This is a joke and should be voted down.”
And yet this interviewed happened after the House passed the bill.
there were a number of people, basically agitators that whipped the crowd and breached the Capitol
Just a few. Former president Twice Impeached, Mo Brooks, Katrina Pierson, Vernon Jones, Ken Paxton, Lara and Eric Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr., Madison Cawthorn, Rudy Giuliani. After being properly informed of the pending peril if they allowed the election to be stolen, the assembled crowd of patriots went to the Capitol in search of Antifa and BLM infiltrators who were being paid by Hugo Chavez .
I hope Senator Johnson has enough respect for law enforcement officers that he speaks with those who were on duty at the Capitol that day and hears what they saw and experienced. Most of them are still living.
“By and large it was peaceful protests except for there were a number of people, basically agitators that whipped the crowd and breached the Capitol, and that’s really the truth of what’s happening here,”
and September 11th was just an airplane crash in NYC
Media folks, please start crafting the video ads which include a split-screen of corrupt, complicit GOP insurrectionist sympathizer statements (like those uttered by Ron Johnson and GA Rep. Andrew Clyde) side-by-side with footage from the Capitol riot and traitor-on-cop violence.
And play them in their home districts on a continuous loop.
Pearl Harbor was an argument over a couple beach towels and a dog those knuckleheads down in the volleyball area wouldn’t keep leashed. Sort of got out of hand. You know, hot heads.
