It’s not even a Reality TV govt…as I saw it described after the latest Bowing and Scraping Cabinet Lickspittle-palooza.
It’s more like the late-night, after hours Infomercial Govt.
Selling potions, elixirs, crypto, religion, off-brand electric cars, colloidal silver, gold, commemorative coins, and medicare advantage swindles.
And racism. This guy has been attempting, every day since the Golden Escalator (The Descension), to fan it into open flame. Almost 10 solid years of it, non-stop.

We’re getting pretty numb to it, like the white noise from the late-night tube. Frogs boiling…if this were shown to avg. Americans from the 1940s thru early 2000s - that an American president was self-publishing and pushing this out nightly, coast-to-coast, from his toilet at 3am they’d be floored. Between the toilet tweets on the president’s own private propaganda platform? Adverts for ‘dream singles’ and ‘international singles’.

For some reason these things roll around in my head until I can find a way to express my thoughts in ways that are simultaneously a condemnation, and not belittling to others who nominally share their “faith.”
We can call it crazy, but I’m always struck that God talks to these bigots and confirms their bigotry. I suppose they have a deeply held belief that we must take their word as to Gods bigotry. Naturally there are other possible explanations, but I doubt they cross the mind of Lance or his fellow biggots. One is as @dont points out that Lance is crazy. The less secular possibility is that the voice brother Lance is hearing isn’t God or on his side. There is overlap obviously, and I’d hesitate to put numbers on that Venn diagram, but I know where I’d place Lance and his particular “revelations.”

Its all selective. Or else abortion wouldnt be the main religious motivator for voting… people would be just as motivated for voting to feed the poor (something Jesus actually did, and had direct opinions on)

You don’t have to believe in some old dude with a a beard wearing a housecoat. There is enough elegant structure in the universe to justify a form of creative energy. But it doesn’t matter one smidge how we got here. It matters very much where we are going.
