At least it’s likely that Stone will spend at least some time in prison, as I doubt Trump will pardon him until after the election.

Is she talking only about Stone or Stone directly and Trump, by implication? Both, maybe.
A glimpse of what justice looks like. Pardon that, Jared. Do it, smart guy. Haha. Write the Dem campaign ads for them.
I wouldn’t want to spend 3.5 weeks locked up in prison.
Hopefully tRump will joining Stone at the Graybar Hotel.
“Stone was given 40 months on count one, 12 months on counts two through six, which will be served concurrently, as well as 18 months for count seven served concurrently, 24 month supervised release and a $20,000 fine.”
So, he was sentenced to a total of 6 years, but 2 1/2 of those run concurrently with the big 40 month chunk on Count 1. Plus 2 years of supervised release after serving the jail time. Seems reasonable, and it means having to behave himself for 5 1/2 years until he’s 72 years old. Not easy for him to do. Pardon time if Stone agrees to continue his silence and cover-up. The fact that Judge Jackson emphasized that Stone covered up for Trump might endear him even more to His Orange Corpulence.
Felon groovy!
Especially with that stupid fucking tattoo of Nixon like a target or welcome sign on my back.
Our President is either (a) an anti-corruption fighter (i.e., Hunter Biden, not charged) or (b) deeply corrupt (i.e., Stone, Manafort, Cohen, Flynn, Gates, Papadopoulos, van der Zwaan and Pinedo, all of whom are associates of Trump and convicted felons).
You choose.
He’s a F’n criminal. A felon.
“What has happened to Roger Stone should never happen to anyone in our Country again.”
It’s true. The next time, assuming they avoid being broken on the wheel, the defendant should serve their sentences sequentially.
I agree wholeheartedly except for the part about the pardon. There don’t seem to be any hazards for Trump in the pardons he has already granted, and I don’t think most Americans are even paying attention to Stone. I’ll bet a large percentage couldn’t even tell you who he is or what he did if you present the name to them.
Why is the defendant’s age a consideration here. Did it work for Bernie Madoff? Does it work for ordinary AA’s or Latino’s when they are charged. There really are two justice systems.
Why would he wait?
Stone had several contacts with then-candidate Trump
Dirty Donald knew all about it, as well as everything Putin, Assange, and Epstein was doing. Yet he attacks law enforcement.
No wonder there’s more illegal drugs pouring in.
We have two systems of justice. Didn’t ya know?
I hope Tucker Carlson gets a reminder about justice and mercy the next time he goes high dudgeon about someone not wealthy and well connected who is found guilty of a crime.
It’s hard to believe that his father once led the Voice of America during the Cold War. Maybe he just always wanted to be the snarky Alex P. Keaton like son.
Hopefully, Trump will spend the rest of his damn post-WH life in a windowless supermax cell.
