Roger Stone Celebrates Brazen Move By Trump To Commute His Sentence | Talking Points Memo

In an interview with Howard Fineman Stone claimed that he found Jesus.

Roger Stone finding Jesus seems as credible as his old partner Lee Atwater becoming “born again”reading the Bible on his death bed and apologizing to the people he harmed.
Yet after he succumbed to the brain tumor they found the Bible in the hospital room still wrapped in cellophane.

Yeah, but keep in mind that #ditchMoscowMitch may still hamstring any future AG because of how he’s stacked the benches with judicial ignoramuses.

“under the terms of a commutation I can now pursue the two appeals that I have filed of my conviction.”

Yeah, because no incarcerated individuals have ever been allowed to pursue appeals while rotting in the Big House. Nice try, a**hole.

I want to knock that hat off his head, those glasses from his face, and that smile off his lips. Then I want to chop his hand off. After that, I want to stick a red hot poker into his eye sockets and melt his eyeballs. When I’m resting up from all that, I want to spend some time thinking about creative and innovative ways to remove that tattoo from his back.

Seems to me a bit like OJ hunting for the killers, but we’ll see.

You’ll need to check out John Prine’s song, “Jesus – The Missing Years.”

On one side, a set of unsubstantiated or grossly exaggerated accusations that have been repeated and amplified by expensive right-wing and foreign media networks.

On the other side, verdicts that resulted from years-long process of investigation and jurisprudence in accordance with the standards of our shared legal system.

And it will be mostly covered as “He said/She said” by the media.

What’s her beef with Mitch? Is he now a RINO because he’s probably not going to the COVID-vention in Jacksonville next month?

OT: I see the President’s Schedule listing for today, July 11. It shows him traveling to Walter Reed Medical Center at about 5:30 pm Eastern today for a less than an hour visit, and then returning to occupy the WH.
He’s been talking up how his “recent” test for cognitive disorders was darn-near perfect. When it hasn’t even happened yet? Does his brilliance allow him to fortell the future?

Ideas on what the heck is going on here?

True, an obstacle we’ll be dealing with for years but, in Stone’s case, it seems he exudes self-incrimination.

I believe it’s all meant to distract from the epic incompetence and utterly evil shit this administration has done and continues to do. Haven’t heard about kids in cages or whether they’ve reunited all those separated children lately

Forget Stone, Manafort and Flynn. They’ll all be pardoned soon, and in any case they’re not the spotlight. Sure, this is massively wrong and evil, but that’s Trump, and he’s done far worse. I’m more concerned about indications that Barr is planning some major indictments shortly before the election, of Biden and his son and various other leading Dems. Not because he believes that it would ever go to trial let alone conviction, but purely for political effect, to do to Biden what they did to Clinton just before the 2016 election, and between that, voter suppression, ballot and election tampering, the political boost that a fat stimulus check arriving shortly before the election (100% going to happen, and it’ll be a lot bigger than the first one), and who knows what else, they could just pull it off. Doubtful, but you never know these days, and enough swing voters are stupid enough to fall for it.

Romney at least voted to convict Trump – and would probably vote to impeach him on obstruction charges pursuant to the Stone pardon.

If only the Democratic Party leadership had the brains/courage to initiate new impeachment proceedings, based on the massive amount of evidence of tax fraud/evasion that already exists (you want a 'legitimate legislative purpose" for the Mazar’s stuff? Here it is), and now the Stone pardon. (Indeed, the Dems should go for a two-fer…investigate Barr as well for obstruction).

Heck, the House could even subpoena Mary Trump to testify – which would obviate any concerns about the confidentiality clause of her settlement.
