Why isn’t anyone going? Fauci is an idiot, and COVID-19 is a hoax. You have nothing to be afraid of.

Previous comments about Florida temperatures in August have been noted. Trump-era GOP planning maintains its typical standard.

“Come one…come All…”

[“Everybody just assumes no one is going,” Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL), an honorary co-chair of the Trump campaign in Illinois, told the Times on Monday.]

I wonder how they’ll set up the balloons to drop from the ceiling…

I’m expecting a nice, friendly visit from Gonzalo or Hanna about that time.

Any Dem opposing these GOP lawmakers needs to run a campaign ad calling them out: XXX is willing to risk you and your families lives to support Trump COVID failures, but not their own - time to go!

The older delegates are going to be dropping like flies.

What do you want to bet the “Dignitaries” only appear via video.

Indoors, outdoors…it isn’t gonna make a difference. What those lawmakers already know, that they’re not saying, is that deep down they don’t trust tRump not to order seating and other arrangements that would endanger everyone’s health including their own.

Meanwhile, they know that tRump is tested daily, demands that others that come near him are as well, stands at a distance from others but insists on everyone else has to crowd in to make him look good for some stupid photo-op. As dumb as these GOP wingnuts are…they aren’t that dumb. Or are they? Let’s see which dummies are the ones that actually show up because then you know those are the true believers in tRumpism or the ones that are too scared to say no to him.

Even if DeSantis won’t put restrictions on this thing on behalf of his state because he’s such a total wuss and failure…what Gooper wants to go to Florida next month…the biggest hotspot for the virus in the country right now? Raise your hands. By the time they have this thing, I’ll bet good money Disney World will have already shut back down.

This just gets better and better – and there’s still over a month for more plot twists and turns. How long before it falls apart completely?

Well, it’s either be inside with the masked thousands that will be afraid to come or outside with heat, humidity and maybe a thunder boomer or two for good measure. Probably won’t draw the hoards either way. Poor Rethugs.

Dems will have some cool, innovative, safe techno convention. trumpers will probably end up frying in the heat & drowning in the humidity just before the hurricane winds leave the dumpster truly on fire. Epic.

This is how bad it really is with them. In Texas the GOP was insisting on an in person convention in Houston where the hospitals are at capacity. The mayor finally said no and the GOP sued. The Supreme Court said No.

Here’s the real kicker in this: the Governor, the Lt. Governor (who said publicly that granny should be willing to die for the economy) and all the rest of the Texas GOP bigwigs - were only going to appear via wifi. They weren’t going to put their lilly white asses in danger - they just kept insisting on the right to endanger their delegates.

And these are the guys who fought us all the way on voting by mail because of COVID.

This is the shit that the GOP pulls constantly on the public - I hope the public is wising up. We can’t have health care - but they do. We can’t have lawsuit relief when we’re damaged - but they do. We have to send our kids to school - they won’t.

Intelligence test for Marco “ostrich” Rubio - lets see if he shows up before his inevitable 2024 run.

Hmm. Temperature in the 90s. Check. Humidity in the 90s. Check. Atlantic hurricane season. Check. RNC, you are cleared for an outdoor convention!

Just wait. If you give it enough time they’ll cancel it due to a hurricane that has been penciled in ahead of time.

If its outdoors does that mean they’ll have a rain date, just in case? Everyone knows tRump doesn’t know how to use an umbrella.

Of course, everyone would still be traveling to and from the location, flying in from around the country… Then staying at area hotels.

Should go quite well for them, I’d think.

How about one gigantic Zoom conference call and mail-in votes to confirm their candidate and their platform? That’ll show those libruls!

I remember someone in the comments a couple of months ago criticizing the Democrats for announcing that they were going virtual, “so early”

Basically shitting on them for having no balls.

Now we know the Republicans already wasted a bunch of money for the Charlottesville convention. How much nonrefundable money has already been spent working on indoor plans for Jacksonville?

OT: The Louisiana AG just tested positive for Covid-19 before he was supposed to meet Pence at the airport. The same AG that has been doing everything in his power to pretend it doesn’t exist.
