A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
The Republican National Committee’s resolutions committee unanimously approved a draft resolution to censure Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), the only two Republicans on the House Jan. 6 Committee, for “utilizing their past professed political affiliation to mask Democrat abuse of prosecutorial power for partisan purposes” on Thursday night. The resolution was reportedly watered down from a full-on call for their expulsion.
A kleptomaniac parrot has become the latest contributor to New Zealand cinema, after stealing a GoPro camera and taking it on a sweeping tour of remote Fiordland.

I do not recognize today’s GQP.
WIth this witless and reprehensible move, the RNC shows its support of sedition and crime. It isn’t even party over country that they favor- it is person over party. That person being a conman, a grifter, a liar and a cheat.
They are destroying themselves. All to support trump.
Cheney and Kinzinger should wear this as a badge of honor.
“In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king” only this should read
“in the land of the willfully ignorant, this couple with integrity will have the last word”
Huh? This was a riot, a televised crime. This phrase has to be the gaslight of the year. There was nothing “ordinary” or “legitimate” about the insurrection. This was criminal activity in broad daylight.
I hope Joe is right.

The J6 riot was not “legitimate political discourse” , not when people get killed.
McDaniel was reelected as chair of the RNC in January 2019, with Trump’s endorsement. Two days earlier, her PAC paid $5,000 to Kathleen Berden, a voting member of the RNC, a volunteer position. Reed said the PAC paid Berden because she “whipped votes” for McDaniel’s reelection. He would not address why McDaniel needed Berden’s services or whether it was appropriate for McDaniel to pay a volunteer RNC voting member to influence fellow voters.
When reached for comment, Berden declined to elaborate on her work for McDaniel.
Eh, I know there’s always that chance, but I don’t think that’s an option this time around.
If the DNC, the DNCC don’t work that election with everything they’ve got, then maybe. But I don’t see the Dems sitting on their hands in 2023 in the run up to the Presidential.
