RNC Chair Says GOP Will Accept Midterm Results…Under Certain Conditions

Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel on Sunday wouldn’t say definitively whether the GOP would accept the results of the 2022 midterms – not without suggesting there could be reasons to reject the results.

The courts are open. They can file their baseless lawsuits today to save time. I am sure the press will be happy to report frivolous claim after frivolous claim. Anything to sell toilet paper.

With all the evidence they have presented proving the last election was rigged, I truly understand their concern!

Well I might accept them under certain conditions.

Somewhat OT

Romney McDaniels said the RNC will quit paying Cockholster’s legal fees if he files to run again, as if he’s a pauper who hasn’t bilked MAGAts for millions billions.

Can anyone think of another example where a national political committee has paid attorneys fees ($2.3 million and counting) to defend litigation focused solely on someone’s personal legal woes?

Democrats want to know who committed the crime.
Republicans want to know who ratted them out.

Why does no one ever ask them the next question(s): What has given you the idea that the elections aren’t transparent and fair? Do you think publicly questioning the transparency and fairness of elections without evidence causes a lack of trust in those same elections by your party voters? Do you think [insert any republican effort on voting] has improved election transparency and fairness, and if yes, why.

There is nothing beyond the empty talking point.

Where’s the article about if Democrats will accept the results?

Funny how the Republicans sound like Putin negotiating with Ukraine, it is as long as his conditions are met, and he is losing.

It’s cable news, so probably has something to do with:

I do not see why a republican “win” should be accepted.

Democrats don’t have a history of denying electoral losses by constructing Big Lies or denying electoral

Here is my question, are we really going to put those who supported and otherwise launched an insurrection because they lost the last election in power because we are paying more for gas?

Trump is a transactional person, and his name is his biggest asset. He’ll rent out the use of his name, but there are always conditions. He’s been allowing the RNC to use his name for their fundraising, and they’ve been raking in the cash doing that. So there was a quid pro quo there. The RNC agreed to pay some of his legal fees in return. They were still making more than they spent on legal fees so it was good for the RNC.

But they can’t keep doing that if he declares as a 2024 candidate, because the RNC has to appear neutral in the primary. They’ll be losing the ability to fundraise on his name, so the quid pro quo collapses.

This was my thought. Here’s a reason Ronna, a Republican won. Not that it will ever happen, but I would love to see a bunch of heavily armed Democrat voters lay seige to various cities, counties, and state election offices saying, “wait just a minute here, that result simply cannot be correct. There must have been wholesale, widespread cheating. We’re just not gonna allow you - can’t allow you - to cerfity that result.”
