A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo. Sign up for the email version. Extraordinary I’m not sure we’re close to getting our collective heads around the malign influence of foreign governments in U.S. elections even as we are in the midst of the third consecutive presidential election cycle…
Oh dear, not F!!Rst again.
It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
Is there a link or content missing here ? I don’t see anything about Tucker. It goes straight to the cemetery scandal
There is a shitter link.
Posting this not so much for the story. We know Trump and Hannity had a “faux town hall” last night and in spite of the friendly and manipulated format, Trump still acts weird and says weird things. But the Guardian is doing some “in line” accuracy checking which I find refreshing.
As he often does, Trump spent time lambasting the Biden-Harris administration over crime, immigration and the intersection of the two issues. Calling the vice-president the “border czar”, he falsely claimed that 20 million people – many of whom he claims have come straight out of prisons and “insane asylums” – have “poured into our country”. He also made mention of reports about an apartment in Aurora, Colorado, being taken over by gang members. Harris was never given the title of border czar.
Trump also made reference to family members of the vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz posting a photo with “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump” T-shirts and thanked them for endorsing him. The photo is reportedly of distant cousins of Walz’s who are related to the Minnesota governor on his father’s side, the Associated Press reports.
After incorrectly thanking Walz’s father for his endorsement, he called Walz “weird” in an ongoing attempt to turn the tables on Walz, who began calling Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, weird during stops and interviews for Harris’s campaign.
[Here, The Guardian takes a shot at Fox itself.]
Fox News also played out-of-context, seconds-long news clips of Harris in an effort to support Trump’s claims that policies from the Biden-Harris administration have caused inflation and to call out her alleged flip-flopping on implementing a fracking ban.
This is how Trump should be covered.
Hiding in pain sight - a very comfortable kitty.
Yeah, you want to be on the floor for crunch time.
That’s weird. It isn’t showing on my phone as you can see on the screen grab.
Gimme Gimme Ginni out fighting for her handouts.
Who says they were duped?

Not much to it, just this clip from the indictment:
Ahhh. Poor puppy is bored with us.
I’ve pondered a bit on the morning walk. The nation’s nearly exact 50-50 split as to party loyalty and voting intentions is puzzling me. Dozens of issues, when polled, reflects beliefs or leanings that align with Democrats. Most people want sensible gun regulations. Most want liberal access to abortion and reproductive care. Most of us want people treated with respect regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, national origin or a host of other identifying traits. Most people believe you should be able to read whatever you want. Most believe the more prosperous you are, the more you should give back for the general welfare of the nation (see:tax policy). I could go on and on, but you get the point. Most people, it seems, have beliefs and lead their personal lives in a manner in direct opposition to the basic pillars and policies of the Republican Party. And not by slim margins. Much of what I cite above polls 80-20, 70-30, 65-35 leaning Dem/liberal/progressive when citizens are asked. So, why the hell does the decided majority of citizens differ from the tenets of the GOP, yet we’re stuck in this 50-50 split when we go to the polls?
Something like this will be an almost daily headline during a Trump administration (if there’s a press to report it).

The candidates’ microphones will be muted when it’s not their turn to speak.
Donald is hiding. It’s an age thing.
