Renea Turner, a write-in candidate for the office in 2018 and a right-wing activist against COVID-19 public health restrictions, declared herself the state’s new executive in a ceremony Thursday only to discover the next morning that she was the subject of a state highway patrol investigation.
Seriously, fuck off. You give women a bad name.
Everytime I read the words “citizen’s arrest” I think of Gomer Pyle.

I assure you I didn’t read this and think, “Wow, women are sure giving themselves a bad name.” I thought how interesting the national scene has become now that literally crazy people are just flooding into public life.
I’m declaring myself Governor of Ohio and will arrest any right-wing nut-job who tries to arrest the governor. Who’s with me?

This made me think of (I know, my mind works in mysterious ways) the old Planet of the Apes movie with the apeish gorillas hooting and beating their chests, the “wise” orangutans looking like Susan Collins, and the chimps agape in a WTF look.

My thoughts were along the same lines. When I was a kid, I had some relatives (by marriage) who used to stick an electrified pitchfork into the ground to make earthworms come crawling up for use as bait. Trump is like that electrified pitchfork - he’s got them coming up everywhere, spouting this weird fantasyland babble that requires an experienced wingnut interpreter to even understand.
