Ahead of a possible presidential run, Texas Governor Rick Perry played up his foreign policy bonafides on Tuesday by meeting with former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf.The two meet in Austin at a perilous time for relations between their respective countries. Tensions are high after the killing Osama Bin Laden, with many in the US suspicious that elements of Pakistan’s intelligence services were aware of his location. The US is currently withholding $800 million of aid in retaliation for Pakistani’s decision to remove American military trainers, among other minor digs at the US government.
