Studies have shown that truly stupid people don’t realize how dumb they are and often think they’re smart. One must wonder about the staff at Liberty. Do they understand how they’re cheating their students, or are they dumb enough to believe they’re providing a solid education? As for the students… there’s no question what side of the ledger they’re on. Too stooopid to know better.
I don’t feel bad for any of them. Whether they’re doing the fleecing or the ones being fleeced, I have no sympathy for them.

Consider that! And the, by now, many hundreds of ‘mega churches’ full of hundreds of thousands of sheep (I always thought the shepherd/flock analogy to be spot on). What do we do with all these people? They’ll be there, long after Falwell and Trump are gone.

Well it’s only the megachurches that are full. Americans have been running the other way from religion for decades. The last Pew report on religion in America showed that there are now almost as many Americans identifying as atheists as identify as religious. Americans are softening to the idea of an atheist president. Young Americans in particular are rejecting the mainstream denominations and most of the megachurches are full of temporary congregations - those people come and go, they pick their faith up and put it back down pretty easily - it’s tied to the personality of the megachurch leader.
Americans are losing their religion. Couple more decades we’ll catch up with Europe.

At age 18 these students are adults. Probably not terribly mature, but this is the time to make decisions (good and bad), have fun, explore academic areas, learn about the world, transition into adulthood. These students are terribly naive, overprotected, unprepared for life. Sad.
