Over the weekend, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) made the MAGA-defying mistake of acknowledging reality as it relates to House Republicans’ made-for-TV impeachment inquiry into supposed Biden Family Corruption.

I really have the feeling that Karma is waiting in the wings for Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Probably not worth the time of day but I wonder if Leader McConnell regrets not carrying the House’s 2021 impeachment resolution to trial while Trump was still in office. A conviction, possible at the time I should think, would have given so many of these craven liars in his party an off-ramp to return to standard, albeit feckless and heartless, Republican conservatism; preferable to its current fascist predilections.
At the time, I very much regretted the lack of an immediate impeachment trial when so many R’s were just gobsmacked and horrified by the January 6th Capitol insurrection that threatened their lives “and sacred honor.” They kept their lives regardless, but their honor is gone for good.
I think MTG’s (i) hitched herself to a falling star and (ii) signed up for a bad end.
But, maybe that’s just me.
One would have to be in the MAGA media-bubble to know what ‘evidence’ she’s talking about, but it hardly matters. They can manufacture proof and genuinely believe it moments later. The only way this will ever end is when something violent happens, and then finally Merrick Garland and others will be able to charge them with sedition and forcefully get them out of circulation to stop spreading poison to their followers.
I just hope someone in authority does the right thing when the time comes. Otherwise we’re in for a Taiping Rebellion scenario. If there were ever an example of Popper’s paradox of tolerance in America, this is it.
As in - bad things will happen to bad people? Unfortunately it doesn’t usually work out that way.
They are so busy trying to dig up something, anything at all like they did with Bill Clinton, that they are ignoring not only the lessons of trying to impeach a president on something that is not high crimes and misdemeanors, but also that it needs to have occurred while the President is in office. Everything they are “digging up” is either from Biden’s time as VP or when he was a private citizen. There is nothing while he has been president. They have nothing and are wasting everyone’s time trying to placate their Orange Jesus.
Republicans led by the inept and outright dumb liar James Comer, set themselves up in a no win situation. Now they have to impeach on a BS case, endangering the GOP representatives from marginal districts. If they don’t impeach they will give Biden a massive win and make all the wingnut-sphere furious. So yeah, tag this one on McCarthy who gave the keys of the car to that idiot Comer .

She was such a darling at Comer’s press conference, when he blurted out praise for Congress’ political inquiry into President Biden. She looked like she was about to cry, cuz nobody but nobody is as slick as MTG.
These lies wouldn’t be as effective if people would stop broadcasting them.
