There will be no censure and if there is, oh well. No one is paying attention to this. It is a distraction. Trump’s mismanagement of the Covid-19 outbreak, the subsequent market downturn, and Dems consolidating support around one candidate has them all shaking in their skivvies.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced a resolution Thursday to censure Schumer, cosigned by 14 other Republican senators.
As someone currently sitting at a desk in St. Louis, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Josh Hawley is an insufferable little prick (so is Blunt (R-MO)). On a better note, I live in Illinois, so I’ve got Durbin and Duckworth. Big difference crossing the Mississippi River.

I think it’s about distracting us from how poorly the public health response has been to coronavirus. GOP senators have been putting out disinformation and defunding public health for years, always hoping that collapse of natural systems, wars, or plagues wouldn’t happen on their watch. John Thune does not care if you die, but how dare we impugn the honor of illegitimately seated justices or the perversity of what the Senate has become.
