Is it just me, or does it seem like the GOP is spawning circular firing squads on an hourly basis?

And the word that simply defines 2020, kids, is “voter suppression”.

Republicans Sue TX After GOP Guv Greenlights Expanding In-Person Early Voting For Pandemic

This, ladies and gentlemen, tells me that the GOP is genuinely fearful that they cannot carry Texas in November. Their fear fills me with unbridled joy. Made my day.

Way to go, Texas!!!

So Texas wants to make your vote a vote to die for??

When will these people understand that the right to vote is semi-sacred, and stop trying to stop people from exercising it? I know, a rhetorical question…

With multiple lawsuits flying in all directions, it’s difficult to see how being a Republican grifter can be profitable anymore.

Repubs eating Repubs.
You gotta love it.

Meh…foregone conclusion that the partisan TX Supreme Court will side with restricting voting. Abbot and the GOP probably just arranged this as kabuki to make it look like Abbot is interested in people being able to vote. He’s not.

Your honor, it’s real simple. The Democrats are in favor of democracy. Democrats, democracy, see the similarity there? Making it easier to vote tilts the scales in favor of democracy, i.e., the Democrats. This would be unfair and must not be allowed.

It’s the least they can do to prop up the NRA.

Boy-Howdy! The GOP certainly is afraid of people casting their votes, aren’t they!?!? They apparently don’t care for our democratic republic form of government. IOW, they hate America as our founders intended it to be.

Maybe Abbott should call Marc Elias.:joy:

Is someone afraid of what could happen in Texas in November? Yeah, sure looks like it. Pass the popcorn!

It also tells us that the GOP is against anyone with a brain voting.

Not at all. They are Originalists.

Just like the Founding Fathers intended, only white, land-owning males should have the right to vote.

The big lines in liberal areas in VAhas probably panicked Republicans across the nation that there will be a a large wave of Democratic voters lining up, COVID be dammed, to vote Trump and Republicans out of office. Limits on voting hurts people who have challenges in how they can get out and vote, so of course Republicans want to put limits in place, continuing their effort to prove that they are anti-democracy.
