Here in San Diego, jeeps seem to be driven exclusively by blonde college-aged women. The Marines seem to favor Dodge Chargers on a 29% APR lease. Also the ground clearance and off-road tires are really useful in the urban hell hole of DC (not), and they don’t have a stellar reputation for reliability.

I woke up at 4 am about a week ago & could see with crystal clarity that if we lose this gerrymandering fight we will essentially be in a one-party state. Sure, Dems will hang on for a while in various states, but the shit Trump’s pulling in California right now will only get worse and more widespread. And the Dem party will wither & pretty much die over the course of a few years–because who wants to be in a party with absolutely no power? Hopefully, more Californians will wake up to this stark realization soon.
The other stark 4 am realization was that every fucking time a news outlet quotes Trump lying, or engaging in scurrilous attacks on his opponents, or really just opening his mouth, and doesn’t precede said comment with the fact that it’s utter bullshit, they’re actually engaging in biased reporting. Nothing out of Trump’s mouth is honest, and allowing him to have the first word (and often reporting it without proper rebuttal) is allowing your news outlet to engage in biased reporting, under the guise of not appearing biased.
