Republican Floating Delegitimizing Beshear’s Win In Kentucky

Before state Attorney General Andy Beshear (D) took the stage to thank his supporters and celebrate his razor-thin victory in Tuesday’s Kentucky governor’s race, the incumbent was sounding the clarion call of how Republicans would respond to the loss.

but time will tell if they ultimately consider Bevin worth upending the election and potentially getting into hot water with the U.S. Constitution.

They’ll go there. I guarantee it.

The GOP will lie, cheat and steal to get what they can’t earn justly, I have little doubt they will contest the election. Besides, why would they spend their own money on a recount when they can just steal the vote?

Unless Bevin very quickly proves voter fraud (which he won’t, since it didn’t occur), his state GOP leadership will cut him loose. No one really likes him, and they have no reason to go to the mat to save Bevin.

His Republican lackeys lost no time in scrambling to find a way around the unwelcome reality of Beshear’s win.

Kentucky Democrats must be tired this morning and, if so, I wouldn’t grudge them a bit of rest.

But should they soon be out on the streets in protest? Silence in the face of blatant Republican skulduggery is perhaps not a winning tactic.

Please proceed, assholes.

If this happens, it’s time to bring out the guillotines.

Trump lost the popular vote and he is President so that should make Bevin the winner, right?
Repubs should win just because they run.

Thugs-R-Us Party = Lying, Cheating, Stealing Party and in some cases, their member(s) will kill to get a Thugs-R-Us Party elected!

In 1899 Democrat William Goebel ran against Republican William Taylor. Taylor (Rep) was first named governor, but after a near state-wide rebellion that required the legislature to meet in secret, Goebel (D) was declared governor. Unfortunately, Republican had already shot Goebel and he was governor for 3 days!

I suspect McConnell would argue against this tactic, as he would bear the brunt of the KY electorate’s rightful rage.

And yet, he is a treasonous asshole…

If the article has it right about the options and their implications, I suspect Republicans will figure out soon enough that the avenues available to them to challenge the election are so high risk that they’re not worth the effort. They might already, and are just planting seeds that can propagate through social media that the election was illegitimate.
