President Donald Trump’s been campaigning for an end to social distancing measures against the COVID-19 pandemic by Easter, and several of his aides are reportedly trying to tell him that setting such a deadline is a bad idea.
All I know is if the virus doesn’t start saying some nice things about Trump pretty soon, he just might get off his ass and start doing something about it.
How can you possibly be talking about quarantining the entire northeast in one breath and talk about going back to normal by Easter Sunday in the next? Especially with cases now rising rapidly in red states and the worst yet to come, and the virus not respecting state borders.
The idea that you can open up any part of the country by Easter Sunday is risible and dangerous.
It’s karmic. The man who constantly boasted about the greatest economy, the best unemployment rate, and huge stock market returns (all thanks to Obama), gets to run for re-election with huge unemployment numbers, economy in a recession, and the market almost lower now than on his Inauguration.
He’s bankrupt not just morally, but in terms of ideas as well.
What does Trump’s head look like in the morning? I bet if he showed us what he actually looked like before doing his hair and tanning and applying makeup, well, it would be yucky.
