The Trump administration has instructed senior government officials against cooperating with President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team, a move that is prompting the Biden team to consider legal action, the Washington Post reported late Monday.
This might go on for another week or so but, as Trump gets weaker, the open rebellions in the White house should grow stronger and louder. That should be fun to watch.
“avoid further bruising Trump’s ego as he is relegated to a one-term presidency, could have a lasting impact on national security” – as if continuing to fluff Trump’s fantasies of re-election will keep him from acting impulsively? He’s spent the better part of four years convinced of his re-election, so much so that his only doubts concerned a third term. And did ever not act impulsively? Not that I remember.
…those efforts to avoid further bruising Trump’s ego as he is relegated to a one-term presidency,
Donnie’s not a king or an aristocrat, and, even if he were, neither class has any standing in this country accept when acting as a foreign head of state.
Fuck his ego: he deserves all of the consideration his party gave to Hillary Clinton.
Acting otherwise sets a dangerous precedent.
To slightly paraphrase this morning’s Non Sequitur cartoon, remember when, “It’s all over but the shouting” was just an expression?
Would you people please grow the fuck up? Or get out.
Both works.
How does this make him appear strong? It reeks of desperation, denial, childishness, and makes him look like a whiny little punk. Trump is the kid who changes the rules when he loses a game of one on one, or P-I-G, or kickball. Farthest thing from a tough guy there is.
If Joe Biden was a White House newbie, this could be a problem. However, Joe could hit the ground running on Inauguration Day, given his 8 years of institutional memory of how the White House is SUPPOSED to work.
I’m not so sure about that: when it’s official from the states and the electoral college, Donnie’ll still have, “We haven’t exhausted all of our legal challenges,” to fall back on.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it’s not already teed up, so to speak.
“But if the GSA continues to slow transition, a legal challenge from the Biden team could target Murphy’s authority to independently judge election results when the president who appointed her has a vested stake in blocking Biden.”
Sue the bitch into oblivion. I understand that she keeps enough vodka stashed in the office, that she can drink away the stress.
