Politico reports that ex-President Donald Trump is reportedly telling his inner circle that he’s planning on taking another shot at the presidency in 2024 as long as he’s in good health.

Best way to defeat trumpism is to put it to a vote and watch him take his ball home with him when he loses.
He’s a terrible looser and the GQP apparently isn’t at rock bottom yet.
Gotta keep them campaign dollars coming in to pay the legal fees.

The only thing I can see Donnie running for anytime soon is the Russian border.

Even Trump couldn’t say with a straight face that he would want to spend more time with his family. So…a health option.
And then, he really means his financial health, soon to take a nose-dive from the investigations, I hope.

I can think of a number of reasons he might not. Like, #24601 for instance.
While there is no shortage of reasons for him to run again - narcissism being high on the list - I can’t help but think that he views it as one of the only potential escapes from the mounting criminal investigations closing in around him.
A bigger caveat might be the success of the various voter suppression laws around the country.
I think he would only consider running if he felt confident the fix was in.

He’d even run from prison, if by some miracle those events take him there.
The rot is going far beyond even what we wail about today, and I don’t know what’s going to hold it in check, much less stop it. I hate automatic gloom as I heard and saved this:

But I would be lying if I thought I had any better options besides the usual - donate, volunteer, have tough conversations…a spoon to dig through a mountain.
