Then it was reported that trump and aides what to push the idea that the number is lower as it gets closer to his “end number” (100,000) and damages him politically.

#1. Psychopaths have no empathy. People are like ants, and if you have to step on them to get to where you want to go, that’s their problem.
#2. Trump will never allow sufficient testing in this country, because if people knew how many are really dying of COVID, it would have been even more ludicrous to proclaim victory. (if that were possible)
#3 His only goal has always only been to reopen the economy, and salvage the election.
#4 He knows that deaths are higher than reported, and will become much higher as he uses workers as cannon fodder in the service of his interests.
#5 Which is precisely why he must confuse the public and make the carnage appear more acceptable by injecting the absurd notion that fewer people are dying.
