Report: Sinema Assures House Dems She Won’t Vote For Reconciliation Bill Until After BIF Is Passed | Talking Points Memo

Also, Glenn Youngkin is a lying sack of shit, and Herschel Walker is an idiot.

She’s the worst. I wrote her about climate change and the following passage was in her office’s response. It’s “lukewarmer” science denial. No one who follows the science believes as she does.

“I believe an all-of-the-above approach, including both traditional and alternative domestic sources of energy, is the best path forward for our country. I support efforts to authorize oil and natural gas development in hydrocarbon reserves on the U.S.-Mexico maritime border, and I am a champion of solar energy development and storage technology right here in Arizona.”

Fossil fuel reserves have to be stranded, later she lauds CCS which is nothing but a ruse to keep burning fossil fuels. The. Absolute. Worst.

The problem is she wears that as a badge of honor - proving her mavericky bona fides. She doesn’t care about re-election - no rational person would behave like this. She’s either unhinged or she’s planning on a long lobbyist career.

I hope she fails in her endeavor.

I think that Sinema believes that Schumer, Pelosi, and the rest of the Democratic leadership are as stupid as she is. If the BIF was voted on before the reconciliation bill, Sinema would be like Lucy with the damn football and literally everybody knows that. Sinema thinks she’s a clever negotiator, but she’s not.

There’s absolutely no way Sinema is going to allow herself to be dictated to and told what to do by a group of upjumped brown women.

Yeah, I’m saying that’s part of it.

Apologies if this has already been pointed out, but that photo of Sinema really makes her look like a snake!

She’s delusional if she thinks she’s got a lobbying career ahead of her. Absolutely nobody is going to hire her or take her calls in that job. But then again, she is delusional.

My personal Grand Unified Theory of Sinema (GUTS) is that she’s a victim of unprocessed childhood trauma. Her entire adult life has been about rebelling against authority. She goes from LDS and BYU to renouncing the church, getting divorced, embracing the stupidest forms of leftism, and declaring herself to be bisexual. Then with no more conservatives in her life, she turned on her Green Party colleagues to get elected as a moderate Dem and becoming a shill for the D.C. corporate lobbyists. When that finally gets her expelled from office, I can only assume she’ll rebel yet again by turning into a full-on fascist and joining Opus Dei.

Her guiding principle in life appears to be “You can’t tell me what to do, so I’m going to make you pay.”

Didn’t TPM report that her big donors have been showering AZ with pamphlets heralding her big bipartisan infrastructure victory and all the benefits it’ll bring for people in AZ? Make her take the vote. Make her vote down Biden’s agenda, on the record. Beyond sick of her antics.

Sinema is in the pocket of some hidden billionaire somewhere. Who is it and how do we apply pressure?

She’s not talking to the press, not talking to her voters, has said she’s not talking to Scuhmer & Pelosi and “will talk directly to the White House” (!!!), and in the middle of all this is going on a fundraising junket - in Europe!

Does it take her appearing in an outfit covered with company logos like a NASCAR winner before people start to ‘get’ why she’s behaving this way?

Holy crap - you’re probably right.

She turned on the dems too, is said to have no real staff; she’s seat of her pants-ing it. And not doing well. Seems to be deluded that if the BIF gets passed she’ll be lauded as some kind of genius negotiator.

She doesn’t know what she’s doing she just knows what she wants ( and you have to guess!)

According to Morning Consult Political Intelligence tracking, Sinema’s approval rating fell from 48 percent to 42 percent among registered voters in Arizona between the first and third quarters of 2021, while the share who disapprove increased from 35 percent to 42 percent during that time.

Her strategy doesn’t seem to be working.

Somebody needs to ask “Princess” Kyrsten why the hell she ran for Senate in the first place, since she doesn’t seem to want to do anything constructive.

It occurs to me that the House could pass the bill, and then Biden could just sit on it until BBB is also passed.

Shouldn’t say this, but: borderline personality disorder? She ain’t right.

FIFY. Doing nothing constructive is an R thing.

Pretty much. I characterized it as more based in the race thing a few posts above, but there definitely appears to be just a total overall through-line psychology of bucking perceived authority, knee-jerk contrarian shenanigans, wanting to stand out and be a special snowflake, viewing conformity as submission…that whole heady melange of “terrible twos” and teenage rebellion shit that, if never addressed, festers into a very dysfunctional mid-life crisis. She joins a group, wants to be its princess and then gets angry when they expect her to just be one of them…immediately starts bucking and reinventing and seeking a new group that might be more open to recognizing her princessitude.
