Gotta keep them focused, there are so many trails they could follow.

I’m withholding judgement until george weighs in.

This sounds right to me. Part of the problem with Mueller was too many moving pieces: the scale of corruption was too big for our media culture to digest.

it shouldn’t be to difficult to charge him with obstruction of justice as well, both on the Ukraine episode and the Mueller investigation for starters.

WTF? Has she lost it?

It has the advantage that Trump already admitted to using the power of his office to “encourage” a foreign government to dig up dirt on a political opponent. It has the disadvantage that that is all that is going to come out of it, and Republicans already say that they are cool with it, and the American public doesn’t seem to grasp the immensity of the action.

Correct. You don’t swing at every single pitch, and this needs to be focused and to the point in order to get done in a timely manner.

It’s the right decision. It’s clear, it’s simple, and Trump has admitted to the charge in public. More than once now.

As much as I’d like to see every known and suspected misdeed included to tell the full story, the criminal activity can be handled by SDNY and a post-Trump DOJ. It will all come out eventually.

She’s got the goods, I reckon.

If you go after the King you better kill the King. Easier to follow the trajectory of one clean shot.

Blood in the water…the area has been chummed and she’s moving in.

ETA: They’re gonna need a bigger boat.

I am 100% in support of this. One of the key problems stemming from the Mueller Report is that the subject matter was so damned complicated. People couldn’t follow it. I don’t think I could follow it, and I hold myself in relatively high intellectual esteem.

“Trump said ‘Do me a favor, investigate my political opponent’”

That’s easy. That’s straightforward. Just do that. Impeachment is a political matter, not a law enforcement matter. You don’t have to nail 'em for everything. You’re not saying “this conduct is okay actually”.

All those other charges ain’t going anywhere. Save 'em. We can snack on them later. In the courts. When we don’t have to deal with the “indicting sitting presidents” bullshit.

Good with this.

I think ultimately it comes down to convincing the public. If you have 10 different threads it allows the GOP to pick the least convincing one and pretend it is the entire case. There is only so much bandwith the public is willing to process.

This is the most recent and easy to understand for voters. I support this.

She empowered six different committees to perform their own impeachment inquiries. Those committees each have wildly different jurisdiction. If she wanted it limited to the Ukraine thing – which would be pretty dumb considering that things like emoluments/self-dealing and his tax returns are also hugely corrupt and easy to sell – then she’s going about it all wrong.

Remember, these idiots thought that that phone call memo was exonerating for Trump. How bad do you think the stuff is that that they are going to court to withhold from those committees?

Wow. And Fat Donnie thinks he’s good at the slow reveal.
