House Republicans are planning to provide Jan. 6 rioters and other defendants in insurrection related cases access to internal Capitol security footage.
Anything they can do to support their anti-democracy, militant and murderous insurgents will be done by kev and the klowns. I mean really, what would daddy vlad do?
Because this is what is always done in capital offense cases. Didn’t Vincent Bugliosi provide all of the evidence to Charles Manson’s defense team for their exclusive review?
Time for minority rule to go the way of the buggy whip.
If a burglar broke into congressman Loudermilk’s house would his defense counsel be allowed to have the security video recording of it as evidence as well as anything else?
I get that this is intended to own the libs and spark outrage but does it actually help any defendants? Seems to me that showing even more of their break-in wouldn’t benefit them
Anything that was potentially exonerative was already disclosed to the defendants. The only benefit is that they get to try to whip up newer and dumber conspiracy theories, like particular people being antifa or FBI provocateurs.
Yep, it’s a nothingburger as far as any help to the defense, but of course it’s going to be used to “ask questions” and suggest that they’re innocent by the usual suspects.
I’m confused. What branch is declaring the rights for defendants and providing them with information? It’s got to be the executive right, in response to an order by the judicial? It couldn’t be the legislative. It is? What the f***? How is that possible? How is that legal? How is that ethical?
