President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani is under investigation for potential campaign finance violations and other potential charges, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing three unnamed U.S. officials.
How much power, legitimate or otherwise, does Barr have to shut down an investigation or prosecution by the Southern District of New York? Does Giuliani get a close up and personal view of the undercarriage of the Trump Bus, or does he get a presidential pardon? Will “Individual 1” be named as an unindicted co-conspirator? Inquiring minds and all.
According to the legal educations I’ve received by watching Billions, Barr could simply fire the U.S. Attorney. Of course, that’s fiction…couldn’t happen here.
I would like to know who influenced whom. Did Rudy tell Trump that he had a great idea for the 2020 election or did Trump recruit Rudy to help perpetrate Trump’s own idea. Both of them appear to be nuts enough to think strong arming the Ukrainian government for dirt on the Bidens and evidence of the “missing” server would lead to something great.
You have to be some sort of special crazy to think Guiliani and his band of loyal henchmen would be capable of pulling off the Ukrainian caper.
