All fine, Ms. James. Just please don’t take your eye off the big orange ball.

Letitia James is a state official, not EDNY or DOJ.

Thanks for the correction. Somehow, I had thought that Ms. James had some involvement in going after T****.

She does have a Trump criminal investigation going on, but the federal investigation of Cuomo – and hey, good on them – is not a distraction of A.G. James’ state investigation of the Bad Orange Man.

The distinction between state and federal investigations is important. Trump is in much more imminent peril from the state investigations, IMHO.

New York is now making a run at the state corruption title. For a while it seemed that Illinois was the champion, and Louisiana is the GOAT (“In Louisiana we don’t tolerate corruption - we insist on it”), but the Empire State has now regained the lead.

Part of the reason Trump was originally based there. Running for President was his biggest mistake ever.

It’s nominative determinism in the NY State Capitol of All Bene.

Say that out loud in New Orleans and a cop will be escorting you to an ATM with exorbitant transaction fees just on principle.

I read the bottom paragraph as NY AG James is investigating whether Cuomo’s staff, people paid by the people of NYS were helping Cuomo while they were working for the state.

So maybe it was just me but in the scheme of things dealing with a crisis why write, or have help, writing a book on how you dealt with a crisis while the crisis was/is still going on?

As for the nursing home deaths, unless he was using the numbers to show that he was on top of the situation why worry? He’s biggest mistake was allowing recovering nursing home residents to go back and finish recovering at their nursing home. And the homes not having a separate wing to keep those recovering from those who haven’t been infected.

To be clear, I welcome any and all criminal investigations into Andrew Cuomo, who is a shitty Dem who has been up to his neck in apparent corruption and clear associations with subsequently-convicted felons.

I know I must be missing something here, but what criminal laws - precisely - has Cuomo potentially violated? If he is going to be indicated because his political aides agreed - or volunteered - to help him with his book - on their own time - there are so many other politicians, Democrats as well as Republicans - liberal lions, as well as Republican Skunks - that taxpayers are going to have to pony up for the construction of a new wing at Leavenworth.

“Volunteered”? They did it for ‘exposure’? smh
