The federal grand jury in an investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol attack and ex-President Donald Trump’s election steal crusade is now digging into Trump’s “Save America” political action committee, according to ABC News.
Trump
Has he been indicted yet?
When my dog stared at me like this…
Something was very wrong and needed to be corrected.
… … … … …
From the article:
“The grand jury has reportedly been issuing subpoenas to people in recent weeks demanding documents and witness testimony on the Save America PAC’s fundraising tactics and spending exercises. The grand jury is also reportedly seeking information on how the committee was formed.”
… … … … … …
Subpoenas? HA!! Piffle! Not worth the paper it’s printed on cuz they just get ignored.
I would like to subject Trump to one of Dr. Oz’s 15 minute festival exams. I just want to determine to what extent Trump’s head is made of natural materials. It would bring me great peace to know the percent, by volume.
Honestly, the sheer 24/7 industriousness of the man and his family is still stunning. I come away with the impression that not a single breath taken by them is used for anything but criminality.
Somehow I got on their list and was bombarded with aggressive SMS text messages. I started replying “Fuck tRump,” to them, and after a few days they stopped.
Meanwhile, back at normal. The Obamas were in the White House yesterday for a greatly delayed unveiling of their WH portraits. Barack allowed his well-earned grey hair to show. It was all much too civil to get much media coverage. He should have worn a tan suit.
Poor Donald Trump is just a victim of over-regulation by the socialist nanny-state. He should be allowed to run any kind of free-market scam business he chooses and let the buyer beware.
Berman describes federal prosecutors pursuing politically charged investigations when they’d be advantageous to Trump, and blocking them in cases where they’d be damaging. In one incident, according to the book, officials at the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan unsuccessfully pushed to remove all references to Trump in charging documents related to his former fixer Michael Cohen, who ultimately pleaded guilty to campaign-finance violations related to alleged “hush money” payments made to women who alleged they’d had affairs with Trump.
Berman alleges that when he was prosecutor in 2018, he was informed of interference in the case against Cohen. Then-Attorney General William Barr tried to squash investigations into campaign-finance violations by figures in Trumpworld in 2019, and even suggested Cohen’s conviction could be tossed despite him already having pleaded guilty, Berman wrote.
If Trump is indicted by multiple grand juries on multiple separate charges it seems highly unlikely he would beat all of them. The odds of him spending time in jail appear to be skyrocketing in spite of his having such a truly “brilliant” legal team.
