Report: Epstein Wasn’t Being Properly Supervised Before His Death

Metropolitan Correctional Center guards didn’t closely monitor alleged child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein when he apparently hanged himself in his cell, according to a Sunday New York Times report.

So basically malignant neglect or some variant?

Ah… they’re going with a “blame the guards” strategy. If played well, it may provide insulation to the management or other higher-ups from having their competence or motivations questioned.

So. Barr will ceremonially, and with great noising abroad, have a couple of GS-7 prison guards fired and that’s a wrap. Bygones!!

ETA. Whatever happened to the “Captain is responsible for his entire ship’s company” bit? Is this the GOP now? Of course it is.

ETA, If this happened in any western European country, Barr’s equivalent would be offering his or her resignation to the First Minister.

Curse that wiley Bill Clinton for distracting the guards while Monica did the hit, hanging Epstein with the blue dress, per Hillary’s emailed instructions from her private server in the pizza parlor basement.

Sheer incompetence or something sinister?

All I can say is if it were my duty to ensure Epstein’s safety -a high profile inmate receiving national and even worldwide interest, with tentacles reaching to the President, an ex-President, a Prince, and other high-profile wealthy men - I would have gone above and beyond to carry out my obligations, which was to deliver him to court to stand trial safely. The fact that this was “mishandled” is suspicious.

The question remains can we trust an investigation supervised by any person in this Administration? Actually, not really a question since the answer is quite clear. We need a Congressional investigation.

Yeah, but the Clintons told the guards not to worry, that Epstein would be fine, and it’s okay if they don’t check him as often.

He’ll have to take out the Chief Psychologist as well. That’s the dude that had to sign off on letting him out from suicide watch.

Bill Barr really screwed the pooch on this one.

Doesn’t this mandate ritual Seppuku?

Let’s see. Who has the authority/power to suggest a change in ‘protocol’?

What’s that chain of command look like?

So there are more reasons to suspect that they deliberately stood out of the way expecting that Epstein would kill himself
We are now up to three dubious actions: improper removal from suicide watch, failure to provide a roommate and failure to perform routine checks despite his history of making a suspected suicide attempt.

Epstein Wasn’t Being Properly Supervised Before His Apparent Suicide

Ya think.

I would be looking seriously at the finances of the jailers responsible for his supervision.

That would require honor. So, no. Loss of face is a prerequisite for anyone in this Administration.

I personally know a lot of department of corrections workers who have Swiss and Cayman Islands bank accounts.

Um… no shit. That’s why he was able to do it (or had it done to him).

Biggest question: Why hasn’t Barr recused himself? He’s got both personal (via his father) and professional (via his law firm) connections to Epstein.

I’d like to see the Dems start calling for this. Fox watching the henhouse and all that.

Who ordered Epstein to be taken of the suicide list?

So now the Epstein family or estate can sue the DOJ/Bureau of Prison for negligence…
But maybe not, since in Trump/conspirator’s twisted logic, Hillary & Bill did it using Monica as the femme fatale to distract the guards!

Too bad Cover-Up General Barr refused to recuse, now it is harder for him to play Pontius Pilate, but he was clearly “appalled” by Epstein’s apparent suicide.

Epstein’s suicide is hard to believe because he wanted to preserve his head and little head, so do you really think an egomaniac like that would commit suicide?

McConnell
Barr
Trump

Who do you hate most?

Les Moonves gets my vote.

Here’s my take: Long before the 2016 Election a number of reputable sources placed Trump as an existential threat. Meaning a considerable number of people both in and out of those responsible organs of government AND journalism knew Trump presented a serious threat to our country. Moonves and people like him gave Trump billions in free advertising and publicity.

–“Trump may be bad for the country, but he’s damn good for CBS”–
Les Moonves

Trump begat McConnell in the same way a toxic threat can enable other evil people…in this case, McConnell’s agenda fits nicely with Trump in the WH.

The McConnell Senate begat Barr, who is a thoroughly corrupt and dishonest man
