John Eastman, the conservative legal scholar who drew up a full scheme to have then-Vice President Mike Pence throw out certain states’ 2020 electoral votes to steal the election for Donald Trump, reportedly took his ideas straight to at least one Republican leader in a state Trump lost.
When I’ve got a hair brained scheme that I’m spit balling, I always fly to the far corners of the country to, you know, see what people think about it. Sometimes, a memo just doesn’t cut it.
Along with all the other crimes being committed in D.C. (and GA) by Chump, Graham, Lee, Eastman … plotting and coercing a coup and insurrection…here Eastman reaches out and commits a standalone illegality of election tampering and coercion of a fraud against the U.S.
Not merely spinning crazy theories to see what sticks.
ETA: Would have to think this breaks some AZ laws also.
Eastman should be arrested, tried and executed for trying to overthow the government of the United States. At the very least he should lose his law license too.
When did our nation begin to coddle and protect traitors and seditionists?
Whenever it was, that must stop.
Finally, we see that the DOJ actually is pursing some justice, much of it secret and confidential - as it ought to be. Still, too many small fish receiving unbelievably small sentences or merely probation. Yes, I know, mob rule & all, makes for unique situations, but too light of a punishment with a plea of guilty still causes others to say, “Hey, I’d be proud to be a part of that. I like my hands being slapped. It is like foreplay with that Guilefoyle twit when she lap-dances for big bucks.”
At least they got more than 3 yrs for one of the ring leaders. That had to get some folks coming up for trial a bit of a shock.
“No, no…hear me out, Rusty: it’s secret Jewish space lasers, Hugo Chavez, a wounded CIA Director under military arrest in Germany – AND Chinese thermostats flipping votes!”
Not by talking with the speaker of the AZ house, but it’s quite likely that other people in Trump’s orbit broke Arizona’s election interference law. To wit:
A person who at any election knowingly interferes in any manner with an officer of such election in the discharge of the officer’s duty, or who induces an officer of an election or officer whose duty it is to ascertain, announce or declare the result of such election, to violate or refuse to comply with the officer’s duty or any law regulating the election, is guilty of a class 5 felony.
