Report: DeSantis’ Ex-Staffers Have Their Own Support Group

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) apparently toxic leadership has prompted his former staffers to form a support group, Playbook reports.

One ex-staffer told Playbook that the governor treats everyone except his wife “like a disposable piece of garbage.”

“Loyalty and trust, that is not a currency he deals in,” the former aide said.

My shocked face

As an empathic person and even though I’ve had similar experiences, the behavior of DeSantis seems very foreign to me.

The first step is admitting you have a problem…and you did that by quitting. The second step is letting people KNOW…

This is exactly why I love the idea of MAGAts who want to get on the DeSantis 2024 band wagon. Drip, drip, drip. Please proceed, Governor…

“… had to entice him with cupcakes to get him to attend meetings, telling him that the treats were for a birthday.”

Oh, I can think of a far more deserving dessert for His Assholiness Ron DeSantis:

Never have we had such good examples of power corrupting than Trump, DeSantis, Cuomo.

A healthy democracy should weed these folks out before they take over the yard.

DeSantis has been complaining about cruise ships not being able to do business. Now it looks like his antivax attitude has caught up with him.

Sounds like the perfect successor to Trump to me

DeSantis is a professional asshole, but he has a better chance of being our next president than losing his bid for re-election.

and even once directing the Florida Republican Party leader to fire an official who had just been treated for cancer via surgery.

Fired via surgery? Egad, how Stalinist. Didn’t that happen to Frunze?

Uh-huh. Sure. She’s the exception. He’s probably a perfect prince behind closed doors.

Really. Is anyone here surprised? Anyone? Anyone at all??

Thought not.

Yeah, but you can hit protesters with your car, and some Floridians like that.

Sounds like the perfect description of Trumpian Behavior to me.

No so dramatic really, the key is getting them right as they’re waking up from the anesthesia, so they’re conscious of what you’re doing but have a hard time breaking down in tears or telling you what they really think of you. It’s all about the sweet spot.

Aaaaaand the last time anyone talked with Mrs. DeSantis or she was seen in public?

DeSadist will have to up his game if he wants to assume the Magat mantle and also start treating his wife like disposable garbage like Trump has with all three of his wives.

New Democratic winnable politics involves Lannister style thinking. In other words, always understand that your enemy’s perceived faults are unfortunately actually regarded by supporters as strengths. You’re not going to win against this jerkoff by calling him a big meanie - you need to make him toxic in other ways that make him utterly unacceptable with only a glance. That shouldn’t be hard to do but unfortunately we are talking about the FL Democrats here, who may even outpace OH Dems for their toothlessness and tone-deafness.
