“After photos were posted online of caucus paperwork featuring the hotline number, trolls seem to have taken advantage of the chaos.”

A private, secured, unpublished hotline number, one requiring the caller to enter a secondary password via the phone keypad to reach the call recipient, was probably too forward thinking for Democrats. I mean, who could have predicted Republicans would make mischief? That was a scenario so highly improbable as to merit heaps of scorn for those suggesting it be planned for.

We don’t need the Russians, Chinese, and Koreans to create chaos, we are capable of generating American-made chaos.

I really don’t want to hear anymore excuses for this debacle. You let that information get out. You didn’t have the line password secured. You gave a contract to your buddies’ new investment without checking if they could actually deliver. Stop passing the buck. YOU FUCKED UP, IOWA DEMS AND DNC (yes the DNC is involved, even if they don’t actually run the caucuses directly).

When these results were tallied by hand they didn’t take this long. This is incompetence and corruption biting us in the ass as we prepare to fight an administration that is incompetent and corrupt.

They could literally have done hand counts everywhere and gotten this done faster.

“Ken Sagar, who was answering calls on a hotline for caucus workers Monday night, claimed Wednesday that people had called in to the party and expressed their support for President Trump.”

I’m dubious of that claim, just given the difficulty of dialing telephones without opposable thumbs.

Ow, that one’s going to leave a mark.

Maybe, but the lack of opposable thumbs has lead to such innovative creations as the hamberder.

IDP central committee member Ken Sagar … claimed Wednesday that people had called in to the party and expressed their support for President Trump,

Somehow, we went from here to ‘Democrats in disarray,’ the stock press phrase.
It’s an excuse for trying too hard to get ahead of the story and failing to do due diligence.
Unfortunately, I suspect it’s going to be one of the challenges in the upcoming election.

TPM…what the heck is with your headline? Are you trying to create some big wave of cry-baby Dem reaction Meme regarding Iowa? Rather your headline should tone it tdown down. There is only one entity to blame, and it has nothing to do with Repub trolls…goddamit get some sense!

Trump’s remarks are about to begin. Aides have likely been furiously trying to impress upon him the opening of concentration camps to house Democrats in Congress is highly inadvisable.

It’s actually pretty smart. Anything to turn the narrative back to Trump interfering with the 2020 election is good.

A perfect storm of incompetence, over-reliance on technology and new reporting requirements have delayed caucus results for days.

You left off the most important element of that “perfect storm”: Maliciousness.

Let’s not blame the victim!

I’m told that a lot of the phones these days come equipped with grunt-recognition technology.

Not to mention Republican ‘dirty tricks’, a time tested if not honored tactic of the GOP
