Taylor played a critical role in the Houseā€™s impeachment investigation. His witness testimony confirmed that the Trump administration was withholding a White House meeting and congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine to force Zelensky into announcing investigations into Joe Biden and the 2016 election.

Taylor also told impeachment investigators that his staffer had overheard Trump asking E.U Ambassador Gordon Sondland about the status of ā€œthe investigationsā€ by the Ukrainians, directly implicating Trump in the scheme.

Always remember and never forget:

Those who say he is guilty, testified under oath.

Those who say he is not guilty, have not testified under oath.

Big difference. Must be repeated loudly and often.

Iā€™m sure the list of folks that want Trump shit dumped on them is long. Should be able to fill the position quickly.

It will be interesting to lear if he was pushed out or if he decided to leave (due to pressure or because he was just done dealing with the crap). Heā€™s done good for the nation, both in his service and in his honesty, hopefully people take him as an example of what government workers are like.

An anonymous congressional staffer told NBC News that Pompeo ā€œis not going to want to be in a photo with Taylor.ā€

Thatā€™s just cruel. Taylor was looking forward to it so much.

One of the only folks in the Trump Badministration who will actually be spending more time with his family.

Thank you for your service.

IIRC there was press saying he felt he was being cut out of discussions regarding Ukraine policy now. The honorable thing to do is leave. The patriotic and pragmatic might be to stay to do what he can until replaced.

I think you answered the question posed in your first sentences with the observation made in your second. He is a good man and thatā€™s an ill fit in this administration.

I will be interesting to see who Rudy will accept as the next ambassador.

Perhaps Trump should just appoint Rudy as Ambassador to Ukraine.

Probably better so he can hole up in the embassy when the Dems come after him.

One of the few particles of good that may come out of this miserable episode in our history is a greater awareness of these thousands and thousands of fine Americans who take this kind of job because they want to use their outstanding talents to serve their country. These are the kinds of times Paine talked about, when youā€™re put to the test, and people find out if youā€™re a venal coward or an idealistic American. There are more of the letter than many of us ever knew until now.

Well, of course heā€™s not. Vice recoils from virtue every time. Every time.

Ambassador Rudy could be on the front lines (and in the back rooms) fighting corruption.

He will be able to fill it quickly. Thereā€™s plenty of money to be made in Ukraine, still. Just ask Giuliani.

I thought he already did.

However, a sizable contribution to ā€˜Pompeo For Senateā€™ could speed his forgiveness.
